I said I wasn't getting involved but im sipping the K-Aid.

Im no doctor but have had 5 meniscus trims, an ACL repair and double knee replacements.

In this case o think a knee arthroscopy or a "knee scope," wouks be a good route.
Its a minimally invasive procedure where they stick a small camera/arthroscope through a tiny incision to check his plug and cartilage.

Recovery time? 2 weeks

Any additional surgeries would simply be a repeat of the first. Usually the next plug from a cadaver.
McCoy grafted from his own knee the first time.

Progress with healing of a bone plug can be done with just noninvasive scans. Once the procedure is done, there is no need to go in unless there are issues that manifest in one of the regular scans.

From an exec quoted in the athletic...
McCoy can be one of the best corners in the league if the knee holds up, but as I understand it, if the knee gets hurt again, he’s done.”

Bold Prediction: He goes on to play more games at CB than anyone in league history gaining the knickname "The Plug".

In the regular world yes but at this level, eyes on the target would be nice.
Insert the camera, fill it with water and take a visual.
But maybe not. I was just saying, idk

The less you incise the body, the less risk of infection. We want to avoid that at all costs. It is far better to use external scans to monitor progress and PT the knee properly to see how the agility returns.

Cool....can he do anything else that's required of a cb? Hopefully he can and his knee isn't an issue going forward

When was the last time we drafted or acquired a player that had injury history that amounted to shit...just saying the odds aren't in our favor!
