Mcshay has him 36th, Kiper in mid 40's. Not my top choice but lets not act like it was some reach

I agree he is a day 2 guy and a huge need, but most boards I follow had him a bit later. I don’t think he would have made it to the 3rd, but the db position is very deep tonight. Not sure the DT is.

So what people mean is as per usual -
“they didnt pick the guy i liked, so it’s a horrible pick”
Not who I wanted but the kid has been projected to go in the 2nd round for a while now
Draft night overreaction & meltdowns keep me entertained every year

WTF are YOU talking about? You said "safety depth" like its a good thing in the 2nd f[raiders_icon]cking round when there were DAY 1 starters there at other positions.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 4:38 pm Theres 2 frckn safeties on the roster right now..wtf are you taking about

If we got Boston we could have made real noise this year. Without Mendoza starting, we will be drafting top 5 again. Another wasted year.

Good pick. Great athlete. Did not give up a TD in three years. Did have an ACL repair a couple of years ago. He is fast (4.33). Our defensive backfield has been a topsy-turvy group for year after year. After the O-line, the D-backfield was the biggest mess. We have pick 67 and 91 in the next round.
Hey just looked and we gave up our second pick in the 4th round to make the trade with Houston. Pick was #117. We still picks 102 and 134 in that round.

48th for Jeremiah
Stukes is a rangy, versatile defensive back with the ability to play outside, in the slot or as a single-high safety. He’s a little older as a sixth-year senior, but he’s very twitchy and explosive, tying for the lead in the broad jump (10-foot-10) and posting the third-fastest 40-yard dash (4.33 seconds) among safeties at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine. He can find and play the ball, with seven interceptions and 29 pass breakups in his college career. He’s a reliable tackler. He receives excellent reviews for his character and intelligence, as well. Stukes possesses a skill set teams are coveting after watching the Seahawks win a Super Bowl utilizing similar players in the secondary last season.

Yeah our safeties are horrid. There's a great chance this guy puts Mao on the bench where he belongs. Dukes is a modern nfl safety. Versatile and can run. I know we aren't used to thisvtraider wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 4:37 pm He very well might be our starter. We didn't have a free safety on the roster
