2026 Draft - First Round - Thurs.4/23 - 5/8 pm

Post by RunOverByHubbard »

99% chance the Raiders start things off with doing what we all want them to do. Less than a 1% chance they trade the pick? Yep. There will be some interesting trades in the first round, including a possibility our new management trades up into the first round using the "extra" picks we have this year. But, I am expecting an evening of observing and anticipating rounds 2 & 3 tomorrow night.

Enjoy one of the best sports events of the year -- the NFL draft.

There's just no value there at CB anymore. If there's not a true shutdown in the draft, there's not enough difference between the next couple tiers of guys to justify spending a early pick on. Better off taking them later and making them work in your scheme.

Nolan is more of a 3 tech. They could still use a good NT. Although that need isn't as glaring as Bills for DT.

I saw a short of Sean McVay answering questions about Ty Simpson and he looked like he he just caught Mike Vrabel banging his wife.

The TV talkers have been saying McVay was showing respect for their current QB, Stafford, by not getting all hyped up about his replacement.

McVay don't owe those idiots an explanation. He's a top 2 coach in this league.

100% and for McVay to not have any input on the pick, is pure trash. Those 2 have been together 9 seasons, and were a couple plays from the SuperBowl. Now a 13th pick rookie, is no guarantee to light it up and be the difference to going to the SB or not, but chances are better, than seeing said pick holding a clipboard. Given that he was close to taking a break a few years ago, this may gave him 2nd thoughts to step away after this season, year off. TV, then return with full control of a franchise.

McVay definitely looked pissed. That was a terrible pick at 13 for them

They were a couple of plays from a Superbowl that they probably would of won vs New England.

They must have a starting position to improve to get them over the top like a receiver etc.

A backup QB at 13 this year is just weird.

They could have taken Bain and loaded up the D line for their run next season.

They most definitely could have improved upon weaknesses they have. They are not fielding quality starters everywhere. They have OL needs, WR, TE, a higher quality NT. They have pass rushing DTs but, not great run stuffing.
