Still hangin' in there. We'll find out for how long in a few days from now although I suspect everyone that was trimmed was done so at Kubiak's discretion. So, maybe he will make it along with who's left?

At least with Klint he learned to stand on his own. You don’t hit the oil fields cause Dad opened doors undeservedly. Looks like Gary made sure his boys became men. It’s probably a big reason for his sons’ success.

Klint has an interesting background. The more I read about him the more I am convinced he will be the real deal.

This is the first offseason in a long time where we appear to be doing everything correctly:

1) Continuity in the front office? Check.

2) Actual football people (Spytek and Brady) interviewing a wide range of HC candidates with no clear favorite in mind? Check.

3) Mark staying the hell out of things for the most part? Check.

4) Hiring a well-regarded young assistant coach that everyone raves about? Check.

5) Drafting a potential franchise QB who fits our new coach's parameters for an ideal guy to develop? Check.

To be clear: None of us has any idea whether these moves will work out. But we're doing things the right way. And if we can replenish the OL in free agency, this offseason gets an A+.

I don't feel we've had a major logical issue, there's a lot of factors that play into success and you are competing for the same resources as 31 others.

Two things I love about the Kubiak hire is the commitment to balance in run/pass and the quarterback being under center more. So many teams live out of the shotgun and don't even try to run the ball. Or they outright quit attempting to run the rock during a game. To the point they likely don't even put emphasis in practice of developing run concepts. That's losing football. Even with success, losing when it matters in the playoffs. That's why Dan Marino doesn't have a super bowl ring IMO. That's why Joe Burrow may never have a ring

They have to go through the DEI Rooney rule racist BS to hire coordinators. Oh, and quarterbacks coach lol! So that'll be neat. Kubiak has his guys who he trusts to impliment his scheme but they have to interview randoms for no reason. Get Jon Benton in there for oline coach, Dennison/Outen as an assistant of whatever sort. Run game coordinator perhaps. Peetz would be awesome for passing game coordinator, although he could get promoted. I'm hoping Kubiak pillages that Seattle staff to be very honest. Hopefully Seattle doesn't pull some sour grapes & block moves

Klint is one man. All through mini camps, training camp, all season long a system is taught and coached. It needs to be executed properly. Having his assistants who can teach that system to his standard and to actually be able to execute it when it matters is vital. I bet Mike Shanahan would say that having Gary Kubiak as his right hand man OC was very vital.

They will matter as far as game plans etc. Assuming Klint will be calling plays during the game, no the oc won't matter as much but will still be involved during the game

Remember the days when the Raiders had to scrounge up spare change from under the coach to pay a head coach? Let alone assistants. Glad those days are gone. Bowl Cut can pay up for the assistants too. A general needs his lieutenants and captains
