I’m unsure how the “assistant HC” title works and if that is still a thing. I know it was a thing at one point but I’m unsure if that still works (circumventing the lateral hire). If so, giving Benton the Assistant HC/OL title would be nice. Dennison I think they’d let out of his contract. I think Peetz will be the OC, as I read Kubiak credits him for a lot of the play designs. Also wouldn’t shock me if Gary Kubiak is on the staff as Senior Advisor.

DC…Schwartz would be nice. Rob Leonard is a good consolation but he’s an unknown. Joe woods is on the staff and was the DC in NO last seasons when Kubiak was the OC.

You can't block a guy going from a non-coordinator position on another staff to a coordinator position. Anything else can be blocked (assistant HC is a nice title but doesn't count like moving to a coordinator position). I agree that they would likely let Dennison leave - he's like part of the Kubiak family at this point.

You're right about Joe Woods. If KK cannot get who he wants he might feel comfortable with him as a bridge DC

Do you think they’ll keep Murray? It’s a huge dead cap hit this season, but it’s a one year thing and they’re not winning anytime soon anyway.

Dunno, new coach, new system. And it appears the contract can be traded but the best scenario would be with a post June 1 designation. But they cannot cut the guy, they take a massive hit if I am reading this right.

The real question is who is going to trade for that guy. It is a lot of dollars to take on for one very risky player

Pete has nothing to do with Kubiak. Without Mendoza, he passes on us. So it is the Cowboys who paid us off, not Pete.

Yeah it’ll be interesting to see how it all shakes out. Lafleur could think he’s worth trying to salvage, who knows.
