It is the circumstance that Mark Davis knew he was creating —tons of visiting fans every game. But we have a state of the art stadium and no pee troughs so everyone be happy. Give me the gritty Oakland Coliseum over the glitz of Las Vegas - an unrealistic wish and an unpopular one. For those of you who “invested” in the new stadium - enjoy the games you go to as you strive to get your return on investment. As a bonus, you get to meet football fans from all over the country. Mark Doofus can clench his teeth about the product on the field and then go home and count his money.

I’m 74 years old and saw all the good stuff but the memories are fading. Thankfully there is YouTube so I can watch the glory days any time. The awful period of the Raiders is now much longer that the glorious period.

Sorry for the negative rant but the last two games left a very bad and bitter taste in my mouth. And thanks to you younger Raiders fans for hanging in there. I will always bleed Silver and Black and I hope you do too. This has to turn around some day right?

Commanders game doomed this Bears game from a fan turnout perspective. It was always going to be a split because the Bears have a large fanbase and travel well, but the Commanders game soured Raiders fans from wanting to spend hundreds (thousands in certain sections) on attending the game.

The Chargers game was close to 90% Raiders fans in the stands. A competitive loss to the Commanders would have gone a long way for this weekend. A complete shellacking was worst case scenario, and it will be felt on Sunday.

Pete Carroll said "absolutely not" to the idea of putting JPJ at center, Meredith back to LG, and Parham to RG.

He claimed that JPJ was competing with Alex friggin' Cappa for playing time. In week 3, JPJ is having a preseason battle with Alex Cappa for playing time.

He did say "absolutely not" when asked about moving the line around. But you did not finish his sentence. He added "We invested a lot of time with these guys playing in their spots" which, when you complete his thought suggests they are not going to start from zero again.

Also, he did say that he was going to be competing with Cappa for the start, but you did not complete his thought on why. Carroll said, "I know you're interested in JPJ. This is official week to practice and to get ready. Last week was not that, so he's ready to compete for playing time and he and Alex will be going at it (for right guard). It's a good situation in that regard." And why is that? "Jackson hasn't hit anybody in two weeks, so we have to see what he can do," And why has he not hit anyone in two weeks? Simple, he had a concussion.

Did Carroll say Cappa would be starting? No, he said they would be competing for the starting job because Johnson had not had any football activity in two weeks.

I get that you want to spin this into something you made up in your mind, but that is not the case. He is being careful with a concussion. You know, that thing that if you get them repeatedly can cause CTE and can result in suicides.

Would I like to see Johnson at center? Sure, he did reasonably good there last year, not world beater shit but good. But they are moving him to guard, and that is fine too, he was good there as well last year.

It was gonna be ugly either way. The Bears tix were a hot item from the day they went on sale. Most people locked in their travel plans long ago. Just the way it's going to be unless it's the Chargers or someone else with no fans. I think it will be a lot more than 50/50. Cowboys game was the only harder ticket

Just give me a seat in the bleachers, a beer or two, and a place to pee, troughs or otherwise, and I'm happy. I never once felt like I was hard done by in Oakland, even as guys were getting tackled on an MLB infield.

It's not a purely Vegas phenomenon either. A couple of my son's rabid Cowboys buddies went to a game in Dallas and said that there were a lot of Giants fans. They estimated as high as 30%.

Correct. It can be worse here, but the NFL in general is becoming so “global” that many teams are experiencing a much higher visitor presence than in the past. Uncle is a STH in Seattle and said the 49ers game this year was unlike anything he had seen in their stadium.

List goes on and on. Like FloridaRaydah mentioned, this game and the Cowboys game have been the hottest two tickets since schedule release. And that always means away presence.

The ones angriest about it don’t say much when it’s like last weekend. They won’t say much when it’s back to 75%+ for Jaguars and Titans (who don’t travel well). But for games like this Sunday, they’ll be in a huff.

Winning games will help with Raider fan attendance. Who wants to spend $1000 to watch your RB get hit in the backfield or your QB get sacked every snap.

I expect if we ever get back to the top(or near it) all those season ticket holders selling to other teams fans will have the option to sell to other Raider fans from other places.

It has nothing to do with skills and everything to do with ensuring Johnson is back in shape to play and his concussion has been managed. So just stop, and stop calling me bro.
