Mendoza and for anyone who is whining he might be Kirk Cousins,

That is a franchise type qb.

I'll make that call after the playoffs, and you need to throw Simpson in there!

I’ve seen a lot of analysts say the same thing: Moore has the higher roof while Mendoza has the higher floor. Don’t know if they’re just regurgitating the same line after hearing some one say it or it really looks that way. Moore is the the better athlete and can make things happen with his feet while Mendoza has more processing speed.

Considering how terrible we’ve drafted over the years, maybe going for the high floor guy is the way to go. Seeing Mendoza play against a loaded Alabama D is going to be must watch TV

Seen some Mendoza comps to Kirk Cousins. Well if Cousins was 6’5, 225 with better mobility(Mendoza moves pretty well), you’d have a pretty damn interesting player. I’m taking that player and not looking back.

Also for an org that was in LA during the 80’s, drafting a Fernando to rescue this team just seems fitting.

This seems like a no-brainer. Give me Fernando.

Mendoza. While in reality some GMs do let 1 game or the combine make major decisions on their board that’s a bad idea. They have several years or in some cases and entire season of tape on these players. They should virtually be locked into position. They know if they are football players or not.

They are close, Moore has a bit more upside but Mendoza is NFL ready and has more character. Mendoza has the build right now to take the pounding and sees the field very well. What he lacks is pocket awareness and he does not have elite deep ball ability. Pocket awareness he can develop, but the deep ball will not be something he can display long term. He can throw deep, it is just not his game.

But fellas, make no mistake, being a humble and having a truly mature character are rare traits that will carry him far.

I am on Mendoza all day and the bit of upside Moore has cannot replace the maturity of Mendoza.

I disagree about Cousins. I’ve seen Ferndand compared to J Herbert & Matt Ryan. Moore has great throwing skills, I like both, definitely like Fernando’s maturity but it’s the NFL, you need the arm talent.

I’m torn..it’s not like Mendoza is old,but Moore is only 20 and if you have seen him play he can rip it and it looks effortless

Moore plays against the #2 defense in the country next - Texas Tech. Mendoza’s opponent Alabama is good defensively but not quite top ten. But he already played the #1 defense in the country, OSU, and beat them.

Nice problem to have. No more trash behind center.
