Our Wide Receiver Room - and the Draft
One of the most reliable websites when it comes to ranking prospects for the draft is walterfootball.com. I mean you can really count on them on getting close to being right as the teams draft college players at a particular position. Well yesterday I was looking over their prospect rankings on wide receivers in the 2025 draft and I was totally surprised at what I discovered about the two WRs that we drafted this year. Jack Bech was considered the 19th best WR in the class and was predicted to go in the 3-5 round. He was a bit of a reach.
But Donte Thornton jr. was not listed at all. Not even as a 7th-FA. Though they may have reached J. Bech, he was clearly considered the better player. What were they thinking when they drafted Thornton?

Walterfootball is entertaining but i wouldnt call them reliable. Its just one guy. NFL teams have entire scouting departments and can scout guys much more thoroughly (and the good ones do)erickench wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 11:40 am One of the most reliable websites when it comes to ranking prospects for the draft is walterfootball.com. I think it is because their rankings seem more accurate than any other websites.

went to two random sites and both had him graded as a 4th rounder.erickench wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 6:38 pm Just discovered that Eichenberg was not listed in their 2024 rankings.![]()
Your logic is flawed. One site may have one ranking and another might have him higher or lower. That is why you go to multiple sites to get somewhat of a consensus. Bleacher had him a 4th as did PFF

Oh excuse me. Walterfootball does have his scouting report but not his ranking among the other prospects.Attyla wrote: Sun Nov 16, 2025 3:56 am went to two random sites and both had him graded as a 4th rounder.
