Game #1 at NE - Game and Post Game Thread
Here we go - new coach, new QB, new exciting RB, and a no-name defense. Not the toughest opening day match up possible as the Patriots also have issues. We are clearly in rebuild mode right? So if we lose I hope this board doesn’t go into melt down mode. Have fun with the new product Raiders fans
May today be the dawning of a new winning tradition for this hallowed franchise that we love so much.

It's really hard to win in this league and we did just that... nobody that has watched this team or followed this team could say that there is not a reason for hope...our offense looked explosive at times and downright dominant but it also looked like we weren't ready for the success that we could bring but we would eventually bring it and the defense was pretty decent at times looking like we were hunting mf and looking for turnovers and that is something

Contact powskiWe had 11 pressures, with 9 of those in the 2nd half. Maye looked like he was hearing footsteps and looked rushed to begin the game, then he realized there were no footsteps near him he picked the Raiders apart in the first half. Very fortunate to have held them to just 10.
We kept with the 4 man rush in the 2nd half but got to him much more often. Crosby pressure caused the interception.
The defense will need to keep that up to help our 2ndary or its going to be a juicy target for the good QBs.
Darnay Holmes playing so much is never a good thing. Nobody on the PS is better than him??

We are at 21 in the ESPN power rankings, up from 25. If we beat the Chargers up into the teens?

I honestly feel bad for Maye. He doesn't know how to handle anything beyond the playcalls he makes. He certainly doesn't have the ability to inspire a young, promising QB to evolve and get better.
McDickHead is an unlikeable tyrant and only ever had success when Brady was NE's QB. Brady had the ability and the juice to tell him to get f[raiders_icon]cked. If Brady liked the playcall, he ran it. If he didn't, then he could change it without ever having a whiff of concern about what McFuckFace had to say about it.
As a counter example, our ball-less 9-year rookie didn't have the sack to tell him to go screw himself.

Pressures are key and it will effect any QB, this explains the 2nd half NE offense. That's why Maxx is great he has the most since he's entered the league, it's too easy to throw the ball away or throw a bad ball and without that stat you have nothing to measure what just happened.powski wrote: Tue Sep 09, 2025 6:01 am We had 11 pressures, with 9 of those in the 2nd half. Several mentioned Maxx is overrated and did little last game, those that review tape say he had a great game.

Who said Maxx was overrated? I don't recall seeing that on here.SkullCrusher wrote: Tue Sep 09, 2025 9:12 am Pressures are key and it will effect any QB, this explains the 2nd half NE offense. I read it here and elsewhere, I'm not going to look for it. But confident I read/heard it. Unlike others I don't use specific names often, seems to cause unneeded friction amongst middle age men. I also shy from "everyone said" as well. Some said...BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Sep 09, 2025 9:41 am Who said Maxx was overrated? I don't recall seeing that on here.
