The Raiders finish the year off against the Chiefs.

Will the tank make it all the way home?

Good god that dredges up some memories. Eddie Anderson ended being a solid safety though he gave Al cause to deem Vann McElroy expendable. Which sucked.

If Pete Carroll remains the coach, Mendoza might not play.

I think we should just be grateful to have the 1st pick now. Not having the 1st pick in the 2nd round is not going to cost us a chance at a Good head Coach and Franchise QB. Don’t get greedy

Yeah, 3 spots in round 2 isn’t going to be the difference in the rebuild.

Toast wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 5:23 pm I was what I was hoping for. A Cowboy loss handed us the first pick and we beat the Chiefs. Not a bad way to end such as a crummy season. If it is to be Fernando (we have a lot of time to speculate). I am hoping he and the right coaching change can lead this team to a new era of football. A vastly better one. Maxx being on the sideline was encouraging.

As so far as I am concerned it was a great day.

Now let's see if Pete survives black tomorrow. There is a lot to sort out prior to the Super Bowl.
They need to clear him and his crew out fast and start the new search. Think Patrick Graham should go also this time around.

Whatever team is willing to give the most for him. That's all I care about. I brought up Dallas because they have two first rounders in this coming draft and they need defensive players badly.

Correct. They are in cap hell. That's the only reason they traded Parsons. They are not going to give up the assets they fot just to get another high priced player. They need to hit with those picks not pick up more salary. Several people have brought up the Cowboys I guess because they have 2 firsts

Geno is way better than what he showed here, we have video proof of that.
No, the video proof we have is of a full seaosn of Geno Smith playing at age 35, and we know exactly what happened. It's not the Raiders fault Geno played poorly, this is what happens to 99% of players at age 35, but because a few elite QB's have performed beyond that age, our 74 year old head coach gambled that Geno would be one of them. Turns out, the QB who was bad for most of his career, was bad at age 35, who could have predicted it?

As long as we have the numero uno I don’t care..it’s not a loaded draft anyway and I’m not going to fret over a few picks in the second on guys most of this board won’t even know…

We got our golden goose and it was cool seeing him bang a 60 yarder

Everything you say is true but I still haven’t heard anyone explain to me why the geniuses in Seattle offered him an extension after last season.

Seeing Kelce’s face realizing his (potential) last game is losing to the Raiders..priceless.

I know you've said it many times, it's been reported plenty, I just don't happen to believe that Geno was offered that money and turned it down. I believe it was team/agent spin to get another team to step up and pay that money/trade assets. Both sides benefit from that rumor.

Reminds me of when it was rumored Houston was pursuing Jimmy G before we signed him. Houston ended up drafting Stroud and there's no reason to believe they were actually interested in Jimmy.

Not everything we hear is actually the truth.

There’s a clip of Schneider saying that they did make him an offer.

Doesn’t matter though, you had it right all along.

yes, it benefits the team to pretend they wanted to keep him, it keeps the trade value up, and got the Raiders to pay up a 3rd rounder. It was a very shrewd move to pretend they wanted to keep Geno.
