Anyway, Koonce was injured early in 2024 and didn't see the field for almost an entire year. He didn't begin to look improved until the end of last season. He was a productive NFL player who missed a year of football due to injury. What's a rookie doing to look like after not seeing a college field for a year and a half? And what if he's not ready to go this season? That would be over two years of not playing a single down.

There's good reason to criticize that pick.
