There is a poster here who we have not seen for a while. his handle has something to do with StevieRay(Vaughan) -- defended Wilson for months and criticized us and particularly me saying it was his foot injury coming out of college and would should give him a break. Nope -- wrong -- he never figured out how to play the position or positions, as they used him inside too. We all saw the incessant bull rush with no moves. But, the think that really bugged me is that he was fast but would just jog after a play like he had not business chasing down anything. Lazy. Maybe his new coaches can fix him.

A lot of us were hopeful that his slowness off the snap during his rookie year was just him babying that foot. But when Year 2 came and he still wasn't any better, it was obvious Ziegler had made a huge mistake.

Exactly, looking good on paper and translating to the field are completely different things

They're gonna be in nickel 80% of the time. If they wanted to go 3-3-5 nickel I would imagine they'd have gotten a NT by now. Probably 4-2-5 nickel will be the route.

I usually don't have much to say about most draft picks, but I remember the Reggie McKenzie days of drafting already injured players. It didn't go well. This guy had to sit out an entire season, which means that by the time we get to opening day, he will not have played a down of football in a real game in about 18 months.

I'm fine with taking a chance later in the draft, but there are more field ready players at positions of need that could've been taken.

Correct. We all sit here and sometimes claim "that guy was THE guy we should take" or "he is ready to start and contribute" -- when what do we really know? How many of us are watching film all season, talking to college coaches, and seeing these guys in person? Speculation and guesswork rules at our level.

Damn it. C.Demmings gone. Would have been a CB to get. Still have CB H.Masses. But Burks is still my fav. He should not be here. He's same size but slightly heavier/stronger than Z.Branch. Has same or more speed & quickness too.
