went into the draft with a very thin and weak secondary, coming out of the draft with a revamped secondary full of talent for now and the future

The speed theme continues. I like it.

He could do so -- in a straight ahead path without considering what else is going on around him.

agree, coaching staff saw and didn't like what they saw...we add safties and db secondary is looking much better nowRunOverByHubbard wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 11:35 am Another DB, Dalton Johnson of AZ. The talking heads on ESPN love it. He was very productive in terms of forced fumbles, tackles for loss, pass breakups, and some INTs. He ran a 4.41 at the Combine. From highlights it looks like he played back from the line like a safety even though he is not big. They say he is excellent on special teams. More evidence that the new regime looked at our def. backfield and saw they it has stunk for years -- so rebuilding it. Maybe more evidence that backs up what I posted about -- that our WR room is OK for now.

As I said yesterday, I predicted after the Stukes pick Raiders would draft two more Safeties before the weekend was up and two of them (including Stukes) would be DAY 1 starters..

Kilgore keeps sliding which is interesting. He was all over the place in mocks.

They must feel pretty good about the WR room.

There is a poster here who we have not seen for a while. his handle has something to do with StevieRay(Vaughan) -- defended Wilson for months and criticized us and particularly me saying it was his foot injury coming out of college and we should give him a break. Nope -- wrong -- he never figured out how to play the position or positions, as they used him inside too. We all saw the incessant bull rush with no moves. But, the think that really bugged me is that he was fast but would just jog after a play like he had not business chasing down anything. Lazy. Maybe his new coaches can fix him.
