While the Wonderlic is criticized all the time, I still think he is just plain dumb. He was also very immature and in way over his head. Al Davis was arrogant and did not do his homework on him (and many other players too).
But, hey, he is in the news today believe it or not. He is claiming he was drugged when visiting Florida State (recruiting visit). In the story below, it says he visited LSU recently and met with their new coach -- Kiffin!
“You’ve got your little drink on. Bro, you know what tilted feels like. You know what it feels like to get up and throw up, hang over. You know what it feels like. You know high school football, you get your little drink on, but cuz really, I was blacked out bro. I don’t remember nothing,” the former LSU star concluded.

There is one thing we can be grateful for. Jamarcus brought about the rookie salary reworking that fixed the overpaying of guys who hadn't proven anything in the NFL while stealing compensation from established, well deserving players.

He wasn’t the biggest bust in that he was the “can’t miss” talent that couldn’t live up to expectations. There were plenty of teams and scouts that had concerns about him going into the draft. He was notorious more because he was lazy and basically showed up to collect a cheque in a sport where many players bust their asses daily in hopes of keeping their job in the Not For Long football league. The guy represents a first overall pick that wasn’t a serious football player and that’s why he’s viewed as such a bust.

Watching that video...
No words.
I'm just a normal white dude. I don't get a lot of the slang.
I literally didn't understand a lot of it.
Bottom line is JR appears to be a worthless POS that for some reason cannot appreciate anything, including the understanding how great he could have been.
Let the past stay there.
Our future looks very bright!!

He said,
Russell: Please, do not call me a NFL draft bust. If you do, I will hit you. Black person, I mean it, if someone were to call me a bust, I would use a creative way of saying I will hit you.
Podcaster: I completely understand black person, and I agree wholeheartedly
Russell: Now let us partake of some grape flavored Gatorade and some legally purchased codeine because I have a prescription due to a toothache that was properly diagnosed and the codeine was prescribed. Unfortunately, you can only have the Gatorade because I would never share a controlled substance with another person.
Podcaster: I completely understand and respect your desire to follow the law.
