Nailor was one of my favorite players in this year’s class because of his upside. The 2022 sixth-round pick only caught 29 passes for 444 yards last season. But he was playing alongside Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, and he was dealing with subpar quarterback play. But the film showed a player who was open often. He has the traits to be a much more productive player in a bigger role, including inside-outside flexibility, yards-after-the-catch ability, play speed to push vertically and the spatial awareness to find holes against zone coverage. The Raiders are preparing to take Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 pick. They were lacking at receiver after trading away Jakobi Meyers last season. This is a slam-dunk signing for Las Vegas. — Popper

I feel like I don't have much company in this, but I really like the Nailor signing.

Looks like the Raiders now have two speed demons in Tucker and Nailor. But the thing is that Mendoza is a west coast type of QB. Nevertheless I expect Tucker to have a breakout season gaining 1000 yards. He'll be playing for a contract so signing Nailor may not be a such a bad thing. Tucker would be the no. 1 receiver behind Bowers.

I think by the time Raiders take the field you'll have a lot of company. A solid piece.

I know the 40 isn’t end all be all and game speed is different but he doesn’t strike me as a speedster and his 4.5 40 suggests the same.

I thought it was early signing this kid. After Chucker gave the contract breakdown (not as bad as it appeared), I think it was a nice pivot (instead of signing Shaheed who got a RIDICULOUS contract). Lets see if he can prove it on the field. A cheap band aid for the time being, and maybe he surprises with his upside. I am still hoping that Thornton (off the charts size/speed) figures it out now that Brandon is gone. We need a big physical target in the red zone to take some of the pressure off BB.

Not a huge fan of the signing, always a little leery when a guy hasn't broken out with the team that drafted him and then let him walk, but you have to trust that your guys got it right.

I dont know him at all except what Ive read yesterday after we signed him. Playing behind Addison and Jefferson may explain "not breaking out" yet. It also doesnt appear they "let him walk" but rather they lost a guy they hoped to keep but couldn't keep everybody. Seems most of their fans are upset to see him go.

Who knows? He may flop, he may thrive but apparently Kubiak and Spy see something they really like.....time will tell

In case you didn't see it in this thread, Nailor has been playing behind Jefferson and Addison. When Addison missed a couple of games Nailor more than filled in, including a 100 yard game. Nailor was a casualty of the situation. Multiple teams were interested in him.

Lots of Vikings fans up here, including my Dad and a brother, so yes I'm aware that they have other receivers that are pretty good. We'll see what happens, hoping for the best.
