Meh. He needs to prove that he is back to 2023 season form, or at least close. He was blah for almost all of last season, barely better than Tyree Wilson, which is not saying much. But, maybe he really did need a full year to come back with his new ACL in place.

Her certainly has a lot to prove after a horrendous 2025. Spytek doubling down here kind of surprises me.

I didn't see this value there in 2025, but hopefully this is based on Leonard knowing what he's doing. I do have to wonder who we were bidding against at this price though.

Should be fully healthy now. I didn’t expect much from him last year. I think he’s gonna take the next step this season

I hope 10 mil is incentivized.

I like this signing. A 1y prove it deal and a drafted Raider.
I was hoping they'd give him his last chance.

...he wouldn't be the first guy to actually return to form year 2 on an acl, but obviously that doesn't mean sheet until we see it on the field

I think that is what a 1 year contract represents.

EDGE Malcolm Koonce re-signs with Las Vegas Raiders

2025 PFF Grade: 59.1
2025 PFF WAR: 0.01
Contract: 1 year, $11 million
PFF Projected Contract: 1 year, $6 million
PFF Deal Grade: Average

Koonce struggled in 2025, earning a 59.1 PFF grade and racking up 35 total pressures from 331 pass-rushing snaps, but he was coming back from an ACL injury that caused him to miss all of 2024. He was much better in 2023, racking up 52 pressures from 344 pass-rushing snaps. If he can get back to that form now that he is another year removed from the injury, the Raiders will be happy with this deal.

I would expect he should be better in 2026 as the first year back from ACL injury is usually a write off.
