You never know what opportunities will be there but in general I agree, with so many needs I would love adding even more draft capital.BG3428 wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 8:38 am I’d rather trade back than take OL. Depending on free agency of course.
Imagine trading back for another 2nd and still landing a top DL or LB?

I believe that is why we see Ioane listed often.chucker wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 8:46 am If there's a monster at guard who's basically a sure fire hit - I would be all over that with the first pick. I don't know enough about most of the draft prospects at this point because all I've focused on is Mendoza and some of his teammates.
We'll see where FA takes us and then have a better picture of the draft.

Trading back in my opinion is not a smart move in the 1st round. Its not always a good thing to have a shit ton of picks. I'd rather have quality over quantity. We have 2 PREMIUM picks now and are almost guaranteed an impact starter at 14. Make the pick there. Quite honestly, I'd rather entertain trading UP, potentially landing one of those top DE/LBs.

Yeah, because trading back is done in a vacuum and no other moves can be made later to trade up. Also you can’t get capital for ‘27 as all rebuilding must be done in one year.

Any chance Bain falls with the short arms within striking distance for Raiders to make a move? I don’t care if he’s built like a T-Rex, guy is a beast.

Wtf are you talking about? The amount of times you have been wrong, I'm glad you disagree.Jeevo wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:09 am Yeah, because trading back is done in a vacuum and no other moves can be made later to trade up. Proctor will be there, can play both guard and tackle. Alabama product at 350LBs. Excelled as a run blocker so I would push him to guard where he can bulldoze holes for Jeanty.chucker wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 8:46 am If there's a monster at guard who's basically a sure fire hit - I would be all over that with the first pick. Do you know what the G position looks like from 20 - 60 ish? Is it considered a good year?Attyla wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:31 am Proctor will be there, can play both guard and tackle. As for trading back, this is not the draft to do that. Lot of solid depth with very little blue chips outside the top 10. Lot of road grader and lunchbox guys though and we can get some good one's like that into the 4th. Next year, the number of QB hungry teams coupled with the number of quality QBs coming out will push down talent and that is where we need to really pump the brakes on any discussion of trading down and let the good stuff fall to us.

Tackles are in the first, but a lot of good linemen n this draft. Dline too. LBs in day three are solid too.Jeevo wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:37 am Do you know what the G position looks like from 20 - 60 ish? Is it considered a good year?

This is considered a really deep draft in the 2 - 3 range. Pick up a couple of extra picks there via both trading back and trading up later and you could add a good number of starters if you draft well. Of course the last part isn’t as easy as it sounds.Attyla wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:37 am As for trading back, this is not the draft to do that. Instead of trading back and later trading up, why not just stay in the draft order we are at now?Jeevo wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:40 am This is considered a really deep draft in the 2 - 3 range. It’s fluid, you only do it if it makes sense and you think it’s of real value to the team. I do think that they’ll try to use some of the 3 fourths and the 5th to get a higher pick or picks. The possibility of trading back in 1 would obviously depend on circumstances, who is available at 14, etc..raidersince63 wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 9:44 am Instead of trading back and later trading up, why not just stay in the draft order we are at now?
