Klint Kubiak - Officially Head Coach
Figured it is best to start a new official thread around Kubiak being our HC as the other one was built up so much around the search. His introduction presser is at 11 PST today.

I will have to say I thought I could never hate a QB as much as the full fetal vagina POS known as DC, but one year of that useless sloth Geno made me have my doubts! It's a virtual tie at this point!

Derek seems like a good person. Type of kid you would want your daughter to date. Geno? I have never liked how he comes off. Perception isn't always reality but Geno just doesn't seem very likable.pfish57 wrote: Fri Feb 20, 2026 8:01 pm I will have to say I thought I could never hate a QB as much as the full fetal vagina POS known as DC, but one year of that useless sloth Geno made me have my doubts! Not sure where to put this...... but I guess it was a coaching decision so I'll drop it here.

Kubiak just talked about some things. Seems like he's a fan of JPJ and Rogers, mentioned them specifically. Said he loved JPJ tape against the Bears. Mentioned having a sidekick for Jeanty, even another solid back beyond that. Definitely going to sign/draft at least one other competent back.
Talks about Dennison being an excellent oline coach who he trusts. Mentions that Leonard had a great interview for DC, that he has a set vision for the defense and what players he needs for it. Pretty good interview overall

Seems Mark once again gave the hc more power than the gm. Idiotchucker wrote: Wed Feb 25, 2026 1:06 pm Not sure where to put this...... but I guess it was a coaching decision so I'll drop it here.

In general it should be the coaching staff that decides who gets playing time, although at the end of a lost season I think a GM has to get involved. The reality is that we just hired the wrong coach last year. Hopefully we benefit from that terrible decision over the next 15 years of Mendoza's HOF career.Hellbound wrote: Wed Feb 25, 2026 1:39 pm Seems Mark once again gave the hc more power than the gm. I agree the staff should decide but it was a lost season and there was absolutely zero reason to not be playing the rookies or younger guys. Pete was going for the immediate payoff instead of the future & trying to save his job. It was clear on day one those two didn't seem to clickchucker wrote: Wed Feb 25, 2026 1:43 pm In general it should be the coaching staff that decides who gets playing time, although at the end of a lost season I think a GM has to get involved. Or we hired the prefect coach last year, TBD.chucker wrote: Wed Feb 25, 2026 1:43 pm In general it should be the coaching staff that decides who gets playing time, although at the end of a lost season I think a GM has to get involved. Pete coached like a stubborn old man who should have stayed retired. I thought hed be better than he was and he admittedly fooled me as he still had the energy but the flexibility and adaptability needed to be a successful head coach had passed him by.
