Decamillis was good at South Carolina. But there were always questions of how much he had to do with it since that's Beamer's baby

Beamer is like his dad in that he wanted premier special teams play. They put a huge emphasis on special teams to win games

The kickoff rules have changed since his last stint in the NFL. He has a ton of experience (31 years).

His name sounds like he some kind of Roman chariot driver. Maxius Meriidius Decamillis.

Raiders will interview Seahawks QB coach Andrew Janocko for their offensive coordinator vacancy today.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter notes that Janocko is also a candidate for the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator vacancy. Janocko and new Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak have worked together for years. Janocko served as the Vikings, Saints and Seahawks’ quarterbacks coach while Kubiak concurrently held each team’s offensive coordinator role. Schefter’s colleague, Jeremy Fowler, said last week that he believes Janocko is a “natural candidate” to be the Raiders’ offensive coordinator under Kubiak.

With this and Janocko hired, could mean a few more Seattle guys come over.

A name to watch out for is Clancy Barone for o-line coach. Was Gary Kubiak’s o-line coach when the Donkeys won the Super Bowl and worked together with KK and Janocko in Minnesota. He’s the TE coach in New Orleans right now

If they can get Bennett for OL coach, this would make for a stud offensive coaching team.

As long as they are in every game offensively, I would consider this year a success regardless of record. I’m hoping this team is playoff competitive in 2028. Gotta give this team some grace as they work the kinks out.

I'm hoping it's playoff competetive in 2027.
