Extensive coaching career, lot of good stops along the way. Was part of the Rams championship season in 2018.

He's been getting interviews left and right for coordinator jobs. But then, there's the racist Rooney rule thing everyone has to do. "It gets guys names out there" is the only benefit to it

No idea. But I also know I do not know all the position coaches in the league. Even big linc when asked the other day had the same answer. He doesn't know the lower coaches.

Crosby loves Leonard. I wonder who might be our new DC. He’s also a well respected coach, so it seems like a no-brainer.
He loved AP too so who knows...BoJacksonRules wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 9:33 am Crosby loves Leonard. I wonder who might be our new DC. He’s also a well respected coach, so it seems like a no-brainer.

You hire Rob Leonard if you believe he’s the best man for the job. What Maxx thinks cannot be a factor in your decision.

Maxx can wish in one hand and shit in the other on coach wishes. I'm sure he'll book another media time slot and whine about all the talk and say a lot while simultaneously saying nothing. Who likes more attention, Kim Kardashian or Maxx Crosby? At this point it's a coin flip

The only no brainer is that you don't hire a coach to appease one player on the teamBoJacksonRules wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 9:33 am Crosby loves Leonard. I wonder who might be our new DC. He’s also a well respected coach, so it seems like a no-brainer.

Kubiak is not a fool. He knows his job is tied to success. He is not going to tank himself by not getting the best out there to make Maxx feel better. He is going to hire the guy that will work for him and then go to Maxx and explain why the hire is the best fit for the team.Hellbound wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 10:18 am The only no brainer is that you don't hire a coach to appease one player on the team

It was reported that schwartz said he was interested in the Raider Job and interested in helping Kubiak and Brady with the Raiders defense. It was also reported that Kubiak is interested. Obviously hes the best option that is available in this cycle including all the younger position coaches looking to move up to DC and play calling.
So the Raiders and Schwartz have to play the game. Browns have the rights to him. But what happenes when Schwartz and Raiders wait until Browns have hired a new DC ? There is plenty of time, especially if they agreed to a deal and they want to play the Browns. Its been reported that Usually teams dont block moves when someone wants out after not being promoted to head coach when that coach was interviewing and in consideration for the HC job. When the browns move on , that becomes easier and more likely the browns let him go. Its a game that the GMs have to play. Use to be behind the scenes, now these type of things are discussed in the media and social media.. Raiders just need to decide if they really want him vs hiring Leonard or other available up and coming positional coach. If the Raiders want him they can play the game to get him. They could give Browns cash under the table in a deal. The question is , is there any reason the Browns owner or GM has a serious problem with Schwartz, Spytek, Kubiak, Brady, or M. Davis ?

The NFL doesnt allow trading for DC , OC, or other position coaches. But they could probably get away with cash under the table.
