Figured it is best to start a new official thread around Kubiak being our HC as the other one was built up so much around the search. His introduction presser is at 11 PST today.

The Max saga is so overblown. Kubiak already mentioned he saw Max earlier. Trade him or keep him BFD.....

Lets get the staff hired

That's the right attitude. Get to work on hiring staff and planning the offseason. Treat Maxx with professionalism and respect (like with all other players) and let the chips fall where they may. Your decision down the road may be driven by the quality of trade offers, instead of by what Maxx wants anyway.

I think Maxx is there working out regardless. All we can do is compare Maxx's previous actions from his current ones. Why was he in the building this morning, working out, had a cup of coffee, but chose to not be a part of the rest of the day? He did it for Josh, Pierce, and Pete. You don't have an answer for that, I don't either. But it's different, so it's noteworthy.

Like I said. Maxx's actions are different, that's notable. You gave a bunch of ridiculous excuses that could easily be disproven. He was in the building this morning, but his rehab appointment would be here and then he left? As far as I know, most grade schools this time of year have a daddy daughter dance but not on the 10th of February with three days left to go in the week. This is patently asburd, and more ridiculous than believing Jay Glazer.

So, he was in the building, and then he was not. And any number of reasons could be the why. I did not throw out excuses, I threw out plausible explanations, any one of which could be the actual reason. You are just bent on reading into this what you want to be the reason. I merely suggested it is likely not that big a deal.

I don't think there's any doubt. I'm sure that Kubiak wants to actually watch a bunch of film himself as well though. There's no rush.
