Technically he’s under contract but I believe he said bye to staff after being passed up

Why would Schwartz come to The Raiders when there is young long-term coach ahead of him?

To prove he can do it anywhere...to take this defense and run with it and having Maxx ain't bad... a young offensive mind that will have success and make him look that much better in the next HC cycle.

Might our very own Joe Woods get a shot or at least an interview? Him and Kubiak have coached together. He's got coordinator experience too. Not a dream signing maybe, but the cupboard might be bare after the SB when Kubiak comes in.

I like Raheem Morris as he might not be a great HC but he is a good DC

Schwartz would be great if we could get him

I’ve seen Steve Wilks name banded about due a past history but i don't know if i like that shout

Karl Scott & Justin Hinds are being talked about simply because they work with Kubiak in Seattle

Morris is not an option now

Didnt see him going to the 49ers that a shame would have been a good get

I’m not gainst going with a young up & coming DC though

Because in the history of the league it is actually fairly rare for a coordinator to be he heir to the job internally. Most get their HC jobs elsewhere.

Yea i would of taken Morris in a heartbeat. Im not a fan of Schwartz like some are but I guess he wouldn't be a terrible option. They crucified him and his 'wide 9' scheme here in Philly.

Not gonna pretend who I think is best qualified right now...instead, I'll take the same route as I did with our HC search, which is to read and digest the comments/suggestions by others here and then formulate an educated choice of my own.

Stay tuned for my highly anticipated and sphinctre tightening DC reveal.

I assume Kubiak has somebody in mind. I’m sure he’ll bring in a few coaches from Seattle as well. Not going to get a top end DC this late in the cycle. Schwartz would be a dream but but I don’t know if him and Kubiak have any history or if the Browns will let him out of his contract.

Schwartz was a lousy head coach! Terrible record as an HC. He might make it as a position coach for the D-line somewhere.
