Mendoza has ice water in his veins. Just what an NFL QB needs.
Refs missed so many Miami penalties.

Definitely. I hope we build a line so he doesn't have to be this tough every game.Arsenal Raider wrote: Mon Jan 19, 2026 8:25 pm Mendoza took more of beating than most NFL QBs do and most of them fold like lawn chairs.
This guy is tough as nails. That's exactly what we need

Mendoza is the guy, he is a winner.
I do wonder if maybe he would do better with a fiery head coach though as he is loved by teammates but not sure hes the type to get on them when needed.

I know this is a pretty obvious statement but we really need to kill it in free agency and nail this upcoming draft. Mendoza had zero pass protection. The number one priority needs to be upgrading the O line… Mendoza is the pick so spytek, Brady and whoever has a lot more time to invest in upgrading the Offensive line.

That was some of the worst offensive playcalling by the Indiana OC, is that what Mendoza had to deal with all year ?
I dont watch college ball, but that OC called a 3rd & 9 Run, a 3rd & 10 Run, and a 3rd & 17 Run, and a 4th & 5 QB draw.

And yet they’re the National Champions, and Mendoza won the HeismanRaiderFan1 wrote: Mon Jan 19, 2026 8:38 pm That was some of the worst offensive playcalling by the Indiana OC, is that what Mendoza had to deal with all year ?

That touchdown run is not made by 99 percent of QB's he just refused to go down.
The thing that also impressed me was his patience. He dropped back and waited for the DE to get upfield rather than just take off right away. That takes serious balls to sit there and know they are coming and not panic and wreck the play by taking off too early.
