‘26 Offseason Roster Moves

Raiders Reserve/Future Signings

“The Raiders announced they have sighed Chris Collier RB, McClendon Curtis G, Jamin Davis LB, Phillip Dorsett II WR, Treven Ma'ae DT, Joshua Miles T, Albert Okwuegbunam Jr. TE, Brenden Rice WR, Layden Robinson G, Justin Shorter WR, Laki Tasi OL, and Dalton Wagner T to reserve/futures deals.

The most notable player from that list is offensive lineman Laki Tasi. The Raiders are big on him as he is learning the game of football. Tasi is from the International Player Pathway Program. He is developing and could be a huge factor for the Silver and Black in the future. The other one is linebacker Jamin Davis. Davis is a former first-round pick by the Commanders in 2021.”

What happens to JPJ? Everyone cried that he wasn't at his natural position at center and he wasn't very good at guard. Is he the backup at center or just an average and replaceable guard with this signing?
Well, its obvious that injuries and concussions are a problem. If we can't rely on him at center, we likely can't rely on him at guard. I do think his position is center but with a new QB upcoming, do we want an injury prone center? Idk, I am a JPJ guy but if he's not center, see what you can get for him.

I like JPJ, but I'm over it. If we can get a legit Center that can handle the mental aspect of the position and anchor the line, I'm all for it. JPJ can play guard and be the mauler he is. When he gets injured again, he can be replaced by someone else. The dude is a beast, be he's proving to be fragile, which means unreliable.

Well what a rebuttal! 😂

Next time someone in the organization should tell Spytek what the Raiders official PR release said.

Of course, Spytek has to defend these 2 while almost being their scapegoat. Not a fun position to be in.

I think JPJ has a lot of talent and everyone gets injured. Concussions are no joke but I’d like to see what the new HC can do with him. I would sure hate to lose him because someone couldn’t make up their mind on who plays where on the O line. The best way to make a talented player worse is to make him think too much and take away their confidence. Seems we did both to him.
Addition before subtraction should be the play. We don’t have the luxury of getting rid of O linemen with his potential.

Agreed and if reports are true, he's also a dummy. I have no problem moving off of him as I think he's overrated by people on here

I think folk are stuck on “Incognito Jr.”. I like the dude’s fire, but dumb and concussion-prone is a terrible thing to rely on.

We need to target every top FA lineman and come away with at least 2 of those.
It's obvious we need them, let alone a franchise QB coming are way.

If we have to make the OL the highest paid unit in the league, so be it.

The stupid ass thing to do is get the Franchise QB and give him a beating year 1 like Geno rec'd or any of our past 3 or 4 QB's.
I can't believe anyone is that stupid at this level not to get it.

This is the most important offseason in a long long time. With a rookie QB contract you have to open up the wallet and surround Mendoza with talent.

I'd throw about 20-30 mill at two new starting guards. David Edwards LG from the Bills, and Wyatt Teller RG from the Browns would be my preferred optons.

Then you give George Pickens his payday. Guaranteeing Mendoza has a bonafide #1 WR in addition to an elite TE and talented young RB.

On defense I'd love for us to poach John Franklin-Myers from the Broncos. 5-7 sack a year interior pass rusher. And we need to be aggresive in finding a solution to our LB'er issue. I'm partial to Devin Bush, but it's a great year to be in the market for a LB'er there are plenty of options.

Agreed. I'm not saying get rid of him. I'm saying get a real Center and put JPJ at Guard a leave him there. He's a natural there. I expect him to get injured again. He just seems prone to it.

Whether by Free Agency or through the draft, The Raiders, when Saturday rolls around of the 2026 draft, should have in place their starting QB, a solid O-Line and a #1 WR.

It makes no sense for a guy with concussion history to not wear one...... they look goofy as hell, but apparently they work - and they don't look as goofy on an olineman as they do on a little WR.
