Here's a question. Are we sure that the Giants believe Jaxon Dart is the guy? They could very well believe that Dart's playing style isn't long for this league. While unlikely, there is at least a small possibility that they fall in love Mendoza. Esp with a new regime incoming.

Since this a Mendoza or bust draft for us imo and since there is a significant drop off from Mendoza to Moore/Simpson, I'd be pushing for the Raiders to trade down if they dont land #1 pick. I'd personally make a play for Tanner McKee or Mac Jones at QB at that point instead of taking Moore or Simpson at 2.

You and I both know those kinds of players don't change the way they play. And honestly, without Dart's rushing ability, I don't know if he'll be all that good. Don't get me wrong, I'd take him in a heartbeat over the garbage we have but I also know what I'd be getting.

Giants look like they are tanking to me. This feels like a game we win big and the only people happy about it are the players and PC.

I didn’t see yesterday’s game but in chat some were saying although Dart had a lousy day, the Giants looked feisty and certainly not quitting. Hopefully Dart doesn’t have two bad games in a row and the giants kick our ass.

Man I’d vomit if we trotted out Mac jones or McKee next year. The revolving door of mediocre vets is a strategy so far past its expiration date imo. Been going for 3 years with progressively worse results… and you could argue the last few years of Carr was a prelude to what we’ve seen over the last 3 years.

Purely as a fan - why can’t we have nice things? Haven’t we been patient enough?

I agree but the guys i named are still at least young enough to build around. I sure as f[raiders_icon]ck would vomit more than you if we trot out Geno, Pickett or AO12 next year. And to be clear, Mendoza is my one and only choice but I fear we will win one or both of these upcoming games thus f[raiders_icon]cking up our chance to get him. I'm just not a Moore guy bc i don't think we'll be able to unlock his potential at the moment, if ever.

You are not wrong. It's all about how he adapts once the film catches up with him. Some QB's take their game to the next level and some do not after storming the gate their rookie season.

Geno round 2 would be the ultimate “f[raiders_icon]ck this team” scenario.

But we’ll quickly grow to hate McKee and jones just the same. These are mediocre QBs that had positive stints on far more competent teams. You can count on us bringing out the absolute worst version of them… its just what we do.

I will say the Raiders have deflated much of my interest in playing GM. I firmly believe there’s posters on this board that could do a better job at it than our actual GMs. With that being said… speaking purely as a fan - for the love of god I just want us to turn the page on a QB with some real potential.

I’d love it to be Mendoza. I’d be happy if it’s Moore. Simpson would be my least favourite of the 3…. But I’d still massively prefer him over another JimmyG/Minshew/AOC/Geno type.

I have a real fear if we knock ourselves out of the Mendoza/Moore sweepstakes…. We’ll be a favourite in the Kyler Murray sweepstakes
