Nephews are coming to town, and for Christmas they want to attend a game. They'll root for the Raiders, but they also watched Dart play in high school as they live close to Corner Canyon.

The Raiders could of had ammo to trade up if they traded Maxx. But we needed to trade him last offseason and we missed the boat. Missed the boat on value at least. Bc now he's a year older and teams will know we're desperate. Pete has held the team hostage in more ways than one and yet i still see some that actually want to keep this bum around.

Same f'ing thing with Carr and Waller. We could've had a serious haul of 1st and 2nd round picks but we ended up with the same 9 year rookie and a guy who was more concerned about being a shitty rapper. We could've gotten two firsts for Maxx from any number of competitive teams. They likely would've been low 1st rounders but given us the luxury of taking something like the best G in the draft and then having a high 2nd rounder just a few picks later.

Moore is a bit riskier than Mendoza but both should go top 5. Mendoza's story is pretty impressive. He has been the underdog everywhere he has played. Highly intelligent guy who could have attended Yale. Unlike a lot of his peers, he has his degree. Went to Berkeley and then transferred to Indiana after getting his degree. He is a family first kind of guy who is also highly religious. He is Carr without the phony bullshit and has a strong work ethic. He claims he is doing this so that his family has a better life. All admirable traits.

As for his game? Slice and dice kind of player who is accurate but not afraid to take his shots. He is also not afraid to cut and run. He has good pocket awareness. His major flaws are his deep ball and he hangs onto the ball too long which results in unnecessary sacks. He could also benefit from more lower body controls and he could put on more muscle. All of that can be coached, but he does go through his progressions really well.

There is never a lock but this guy is far less of a risk than Ward was last year and it is not even close, and Ward is arrogant enough to think after his really weak first season he is worthy of being involved in his head coach hunt. Give me the high IQ high character guy any time.

So are you suggesting we come up with a consensus spelling? If that is the case we can go with Doofus if I have the deciding vote.

If we had a GM who was in charge (I don't believe we do) he would force Petey to sit Maxx, Jeanty, and Bowers, to save for them for next year.

If we were playing a team who might have a say in how the playoffs go the league might complain, but I can't see how either the Giants or the chefs will have any influence on the playoffs (unless the tiebreaker gets down to strength of schedule)

But Petey will not do this.

All I want for Christmas is for Doofus Bowl Cut to hand over complete personnel control to the GM. And that includes coaches.
