Raiders Song Parodies
Raiders Rhapsody
(Parody lyrics by Willmark, with apologies to Queen)
Is this the real Raiders? Is this just football fantasy?
Caught in another blowout, no escape from mediocrity
Open your eyes, look up to Ghost to the Post and see,
I'm just a poor fan, I need no more company
Because losses are easy come, easy go, visitors high, Raiders low-
Any way the Autumn Wind blows
Doesn't really matter to me… to me
Mama, just benched a man,
Put silver and black on his head - now his career is all but dead
Mama, strife had just begun,
But Carr’s gone and thrown it all away.
Mama (ooh), didn't mean to love the bye -
If I'm not watching again this game tomorrow,
Carry on, carry on... Raiders never really matters
Too late - over-time has come
Sends stomach aches down my spine, Raider pain all the time.
Goodbye, Raider Nation, this “team’s” gotta go
Gotta leave these loses behind and face the truth.
Mama, ooh (oh- Any way the Autumn Wind blows),
I don't wanna...lie
I sometimes wish I'd never been a Raiders fan at all
I see a little silhouetto of a game plan -
Latest coach, latest coach, will he last the season-oh?
Lyle Alzado - very, very frightening!
(Jim Otto) Jim Otto, (Jim Otto) Jim Otto, Otto snap the ballo
Magnifico (Oh-oh-oh-oh!)
I'm just a poor QB, nobody loves me,
He's just a poor QB from a poor franchisee,
Spare him his fandom from this monstrosity!
Loses come, wins go - will you let me go?
George Blanda! No, we will not let you go! (Let him go!)
George Blanda! We will not let you go! (Let him go!)
George Blanda! We will not let you go! (Let me go!)
Will not let you go! (Let me go!)
Never, never, never, never, never, never let me go! (Let him go!)
Oh-oh-oh-oh! No, no, no, no, no, no, no!
Oh, Madden Boom!, Madden Boom! (Madden Boom! let me go)
Al Davis has a devil put aside for me... for me... for me!
So you think you can stop my Sunday and deceive my eye?
So you think you can make me believe - then leave me to die?
Oh, Raiders! Can't do this to me, Raiders!
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here!
Football really matters - win’s we’ll never see
Football really matters...
Football doesn’t matters, to this team.
Any way the Autumn Wind blows...

figured I’d give this a try. Here’s “you make my dreams (huff glue)” - a Hall and Oates parody
[verse 1]
What I want?
You’ve lost — can’t even hand the ball off.
Like a Josh McDaniels play call,
Or Pete… yeah they both look the same.
What we got?
A pile of draft picks that don’t matter.
Bad contracts stacked together —
Tell me how we’ll ever win again?
[chorus]
Oh yeah, well well YOU
(Ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
Our season ends Week Two.
YOU
(you-you-you, ooh-ooh-ooh-you)
Well well well YOU
(ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
We see Mahomes - we’re screwed.
(you-you-you, ooh-ooh-ooh-you)
Yeah…
[verse 2]
On a night when the whole offense is a steamer,
And they’re wreckin’ the whole team - yeah
nobody blocks a thing.
Geno throws a duck,
I’m praying just for grounding —
While poor Jeanty takes a pounding —
We’ll never win again.
[Chorus]
Oh yeah, well YOU
(ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
You got me sniffin’ glue.
YOU
(you-you-you, ooh-ooh-ooh-you)
Well well well YOU
(ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh-ooh)
You make your fanbase spew.
(you-you-you, ooh-ooh-ooh-you)
Ow.
[Bridge]
Tom Brady on livestream…
Says: “This rebuild should be over by now.”
— Yeah. We know.
[Final Chorus]
Well YOU —
Yeah-yeah —
We’ll suck next season too.
(you-you-you, ooh-ooh-ooh-you)

“In the Year 2025”
In the year 2025,
If the Raiders are still alive,
If the fans can even survive,
They may find…
In the year 3535,
Still no run game on the tee,
Fourth-and-short? We kick for three—
Why do we try?
In the year 4545,
We’re still saying, “This time we’ll thrive!”
But the draft picks take a dive—
And hopes all die.
In the year 5555,
Every drive’s a puntin’ line.
If Max ain’t sacking, we can’t shine—
It’s all we’ve got.
In the year 7510,
Davante’s ghost is breaking through,
Catching passes no one threw…
He’s haunting you.
In the year 8510
We’re still talking ‘bout “just wait,”
But the rebuild’s running late—
(Like every year).
Now it’s been so many years,
Fans have cried out all their tears.
Only thing that never clears—
Is fear and beer.
So in the year 2025,
If the Raiders are still alive,
If the fans can even survive…
Well— we’ll still believe.

...a 1st day of Christmas song I must have dreamed as no one seems to remember it, and I can't find it on ;line anywhere, is right after our first super bowl win, which at this point , seems like a dream in itself, was, I thought, with irv cross, Brent and Phyllis (?) George, and the Greek,
...whether it really happened, or I just dreamed it, it started out like this.
...on the first day of Christmas, Al Davis gave to me, a sly snake with a sore knee,
...on the 2nd day of Christmas, Al Davis gave to me, 2 burly backs and a sly snake with a sore knee.
...on the 3rd day of Christmas, Al Davis gave to me, three rushing fools, 2 burly backs, and a sly snake with a sore knee.....
....memory gets dicey from there...
..anyway, pardon the lack of caps where often needed as this Chromebook I use to just screw around with is a pia..., but I swear this really was broadcast back then, just after our sb win, but no one else remembers it and I can't find it it anywhere....

Not my call, the thread is Raider related and some are enjoying the diversion. My suggestion is just not enter the thread. I make that choice as well when a thread is on topic but not interesting to me. If the season were better, this probably does not exist as a thread. Some just need a creative outlet for their frustration.

Lyrics & Parodies by Willmark

3. Born for Tums (Born to Run Parody) – Heartburn as heritage, hope as habit.
4. Anyway You Lose It – The Journey-style sing-along every fan knows by heart.
Side B – Faith, Fire & 4th Down
5. Hut One, Hut Two-ya – A Leonard Cohen-esque prayer whispered through face paint.
6. Raiders Rhapsody – Six minutes of operatic despair; “Mama, just benched a man.”
7. Unfortunately (Faithfully) – Power-ballad of loyalty and lunacy.
8. Raiders Road (Born to Run From the Raiders Parody) – The anthemic closer; Amy Trask rides shotgun into the sunset.

Born For Tums
(Parody lyrics by Willmark, with apologies to Bruce Springsteen)
In the day, we curse our team out on the streets
Of a runaway tragic-comic dream.
On Sunday night, we ride through Raiders’ past glory
In suicide (slot) machines.
Sprung from losses - at least as many as nine,
Silver-helmeted, Gatorade-injected, steppin' out over the O-line
Oh, Amy this franchise rips the bones from your back,
It's a counter trap - it's a suicide rap
We gotta stop being fans while we're young
'Cause diehards like us, Amy, we were too stupid to run
Yes, girl, we were
Amy Trask let me in - I wanna be your friend
I want two guards and a quarterback with some vision.
Just wrap your fandom pledges 'round these face grim,
And strap your foam hand tight to legends
Together? This franchise is a trap;
We'll run the ball 'til we drop - 1st down, we’ll never look back
Oh, will you walk with me – good coach to hire?
'Cause Amy, I'm just a scared and lonely fan,
But I gotta know how winning feels.
I want to know if winning is wild, babe;
I want to know if winning is real
Oh - can Raiders show me?
Beyond Allegiant Stadium, overheard drones,
Flyin’ down the boulevard.
The Raiderettes comb their hair in rearview mirrors,
And the defense tries to make stops - too hard
The Death Star rises, bold and stark
Fans huddled in the stands, hearts in a twist.
I wanna die with you, Amy, on the streets tonight,
Winning a game - everlasting bliss
Huh!
(One, two, three, four!)
The Super Bowl jammed with broken heroes,
On a last-chance, game-winning drive.
The Raiders out on the run tonight,
But there's no timeouts left to hide.
Together, Amy, we can live with the sadness;
I'll love the Raiders with all madness in my soul.
Oh, someday Amy - I don't know when -
We're gonna get to that place, Super Bowl where we want to go,
And we'll walk in, not run
But 'til then, fans like us
Amy, Raider fans are born for Tums!
Oh Amy, Raider fans like us,
Amy, we were born for Tums!
Come on Amy, Raider fans like us,
Amy, we were born for Tums!
Woah-oh-woah...
Hm-hm-hm...
Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh...
Woah-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh…
Hm-hm-hm...
Woah-oh-woah...
Oh-oh-oh...

Anyway You Lose It
(Parody lyrics by Willmark, with apologies to Journey)
Anyway you lose it,
Isn’t what we needed,
Anyway you lose it…
Raiders make me laugh,
Raiders don’t make me sing,
Raiders lose everything,
Raiders’ offense can’t move,
Raiders lost their groove,
Raider fans love the wrong things…
Ooh, Monday night, Sunday night,
Ooh, Thursday night
So hold that D-line tight, hold tight!
Just win, baby, right?
Oh, they said
Anyway you lose it,
That isn’t what we needed!
Anyway you lose it
They said, “Anyway you lose it,
Fans alone, we never knew,
What a good team could do...
Ooh, then we laughed
Then the refrain
About losing things
Ooh, Monday night, Sunday night,
Ooh, Thursday night
So hold that D-line tight, hold tight!
Just win, baby, right?
Oh, they said
Anyway you lose it,
That isn’t what we needed!
Anyway you lose it
Oh, They said, “Anyway you lose it,
That isn’t what we needed!
Anyway you lose it
They said, “Hol-ee, Hol-ee, Ho-lee, To-lee-do!”
Oh, they said —
Anyway you lose it,
Isn’t what we needed,
Anyway you lose it…
Anyway
Anyway you lose it…
Isn’t what we needed,
Anyway you lose it…
Oh, they said —
Anyway you lose it,
Isn’t what we needed,
Anyway you lose it…
Anyway you lose it…
Isn’t what we needed,
Anyway you lose it…
Anyway you lose it…
