Raiders at Broncos post game thread

Unread post by RaiderandBulldog »

Well the good news is that this loss helps our draft position and there is free football on Sunday. The Donks begged us the take this game and the Raiders said. No thanks.

1 Can’t blame the defense they only gave up 10 points and got us 2 INTs. Some people want to fire Graham but nights like this one are worth keeping.

2 Geno had a really rough night but I would blame the play calling and the offensive line way more than him.

3 The refs were looking for flags tonight on both sides so you can’t blame them.

4 We need a new kicker after this season. Carlson doesn’t have it anymore.

5 At this point the season is done for so the rookies have to keep playing even if they make mistakes like Thornton JR did.

Yea, currently Jones is a FA next year, but no way he makes it to being on the market. There are a few out there that are interesting but, while we gotta take a shot at some point, as of right now there is really not an interesting guy in college. Mendoza is the prize, but even he is not looking other worldly. Jets are probably going to get him, maybe the Saints.

Problem is we have way too many holes to fill for one draft and the people we have drafting. They sign Jeanty which I think was the right move and then they go WR with the second pick who has pretty much been a ghost other than picking up penalties. Then they sign two third round linemen who are ghosts. Nobody has seen these guys. If they're that terrible why the f[raiders_icon]ck did you pick them? It's like the tree stooges running this team.

Post game is much the same pregame. Needs have been solidified.

QB-obvious reasons
2 IOL- adding two to what we have will be fine. JPJ is undependable.
WR-obvious reasons
Pass rusher-not surprised by Koonce. The first full season back from a knee injury like that is usually not the best, but it doesn’t hurt to add one.
LB-have to work on getting younger there.
Kicker

We should be able to get most of that done between the draft and free agency

I don't think there's an immediate fix for the QB position. If they draft a QB he's going to take time even if he turns into a player and the last three free agent QB signings have been a disaster and I don't expect that to change with the next guy.

Immediate tank is what Geno represents.

An 8-2 team barely beat us. A 5-3 team barely beat us. A 6-2 team lost to us.

All of our best players (Kolton, JPJ, Brock) have never played together besides week 1 where we won. We are literally 4 plays from being 5-4. We need more DL help than OL. We can draft the final piece to our offensive line in the draft. We need a true NT.

A #1 WR changes our entire offense the same way a healthy Brock Bowers does. The #1 WR gets Brock open more, Brock gets the #1 WR open more, they both open up the run game because the defense respects the pass.

your leaps at logic are staggeringly bad takes. You use records to prove points but the reality is we are getting curb stomped on a regular basis.

JPJ is a stud when healthy but how much time has he missed in his brief NFL career?

I have to admit the offense started the game off pretty well and the moment he got hurt, things started trending down. Hopefully he can shake the injury issues as it’s becoming a concern.

Ehh...I don't think anyone believed Stafford was leaving the Rams, especially to a team like us or the Giants, as the two rumored teams most interested. It's also been widely reported that Johnson had already told Mark he wasn't interested but only took the call since it was Brady on the other end. It doesn't take a very high IQ to put things together and realize the reality of both situations
