Raiders at Broncos post game thread

Post by RaiderandBulldog »

Well the good news is that this loss helps our draft position and there is free football on Sunday. The Donks begged us the take this game and the Raiders said. No thanks.

1 Can’t blame the defense they only gave up 10 points and got us 2 INTs. Some people want to fire Graham but nights like this one are worth keeping.

2 Geno had a really rough night but I would blame the play calling and the offensive line way more than him.

3 The refs were looking for flags tonight on both sides so you can’t blame them.

4 We need a new kicker after this season. Carlson doesn’t have it anymore.

5 At this point the season is done for so the rookies have to keep playing even if they make mistakes like Thornton JR did.

how many threads are you going to run around saying the same thing?

And no, we are not the worst in the league in giving up long yards. We are middle of the pack, that was debunked the first time you said it.

-Our elite Edge Rusher was nowhere to be found.

-Thorton HAS to make that catch. For once Geno actually threw a decent ball.

-Jeanty has to catch that pick, but Geno didn't do him any favors throwing it that high.

-Tyler Lockett led the team in catches. I'm not surprised at all.

-Defense has to be the worst in the NFL in giving up long yardage.

-Without Kolton Miller and JPJ we are cooked.

We would have 3 more wins if not for ST's. Raiders aren't as bad as people think. We just need a #1 WR.
Really? That's it? You can't think of anythig else this team needs?

I’d say we have more positions of need than we have positions solidified.

Yes, we do need legit talent at WR but please, please start with the Oline.

Yeah Oline and QB is almost a 1a 1b situation at this point.

Not at all.

It didn't feel like a preseason game because the coaches called plays like a regular season contest.

It doesn't help when our draft class is turning out to be one of our worst in years

again, and yes you did, you missed the point. I was not referring to the play calling, other than that one head scratcher, but the execution and the blatant errors.

So yea, now that I spoon fed you the point, redirect and argue but frankly you are boring so I am done.

I got your point. I just disagreed.

It felt like a standard TNF game. There was too much talent out for a preseason game.

When I think of a preseason game, I view vanilla passes and runs with standard blitz packages. Neither teams were running those systems.

We need a QB. We need to get Maxx some help and the offensive line needs a complete overhaul.

Gotta start swinging the bat for QB first.

I talked much shit about Bech prior to the season, which I've never done. I always say that rookies need time to show what they can do, but on a bad team with what should present an excellent opportunity to see the field this over-drafted lump of coal only manages to be a hindrance.

Not a single catch and committed a blatant hold that Stevie Wonder could've thrown a flag on during a play in which he didn't need to hold. All he had to do was be in the defender's way a little bit.

Lot of interesting OL in FA next year, some will resign with their current teams but we have money to swing big as a temporary fix there. DL in FA are not as great, some edge guys with Hendrickson being the top guy, a few interior guys with Onyemata being the prize. Both likely will not make it to free agency but you never know. Me personally, I would target DaQuan Jones who I think will get there, he is older but still has juice and is likely not going to resign. I also like Gross-Matos. Arden Key is probably gone with the Titans but I doubt he wants to revisit the Raiders unless we way over pay. Von Miller is toast so he is just a waste for whomever gets him on a short deal.

If we use the money we got, we can do a lot of patching while we go after the QB of the future. Problem is, he is likely not in this draft. I would do OL in the first next season and get our guy in 2027 in this moment in time. But that could change if one of these college guys have that "aha" moment. Lot of football left

If the reporting is good, and that’s a big if, then the perfectionist’s fingerprints are all over the coaching hires. That’s what should be bothering him the most right now.

Me too. Last time we prioritized the O line in a big way Carr got MVP votes ffs. Tampa and the Colts picked up cast off QBs, put them behind really good O lines, and now their guys may get votes.

Brady has a lot to learn and I'm sure his fingerprints are on this. Mark Davis never learned from his mistakes. Hopefully Brady does.
