Tyler Lockett expected to sign today
I wasn’t happy with McDaniels turning Vegas into New England 2.0, Carroll and the GM making this Seattle 2.0

OK fellas, let' not find a cliff over this one. It is not a horrible signing depending upon the player we move out to make the space. Lockett is not ancient, but that one injury I think has derailed his career. He adds a bit of depth and he is not taking someone's starting job if I read the tea leaves correctly. He may see some snaps but this is what we knew Pete was going to do. He was going to constantly tinker with the lineup and roster. Lockett may not be the player he was, and God knows he was never a number one, but he can contribute.
As for the younger players, I get it, you want to see what you got. But you also want to see them properly developed and not everyone "learns on the field." Sometimes you learn from the sidelines or on special teams of what have you.

He hasnt done anything to this team. We were awful before him, now awful with him and we will probably be awful after him. Youre acting like we were some sort of winning franchise before he took over lol.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 7:56 am You could probably sell me on anyone over Pete. What he did/is doing to this team is inexcusable and unforgiving in my opinion.

That's grounds for removal in itself.

This is a transaction you make in the offseason, not after the season is lost. Play the rookies.

Unfortunately with this wr room he'd probably be a starter. I'd much rather play all the young kids but i guess that's not going to happen.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 8:25 am As terrible of a decision it is to sign Lockett, it has nothing to do with Meyers. Lockett will be WR5 if Meyers stays and WR4 if Meyers goes. He's not coming here to be WR1 or 2.

Lockett is not the player he was in his prime that’s for sure but he has always been considered a top locker room guy and leader. I think this signing is more like a coach/mentor signing for the young WR room and a signal that Jakobi is gone. You definitely don’t have to worry about Lockett teabagging anyone. Then again with the curse still in place Lockett might have a DUI or DV charge by the end of the week.

Firing him after this year continues the trend of what's wrong with this franchise. This was a piss poor team before Pete. He's done nothing different than previous regimes. He was always going to churn the roster & everyone knew that. Getting rid of him is what's leading to what you always say about Pete, "that's what happens when you have to settle for a hc". You think firing another one, one year in is going to help?BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 6:56 am Pete has literally destroyed every aspect of this team even more so then its already been (how thats even possible i have no clue). Literally every single one. It's exactly why he needs to go and i don't care if it's tomorrow but it better be by or at the end of the year.

Signing a 33 year old has been is like hiring a 74 year old...... Oh, never mind.

This signing would be an indication that Meyers will be moved before the deadline. Not sure why people are freaking out as he’s just going to be around for the remainder of this season and he’s not costing the team anything in assets.

If this is because we will be trading Meyers than I get it. If this was just cause Pete and squaks. Then I lose even more faith in whatever this regime is.

I do not think we are trading Meyers. I just do not think this team does anything logical.

Cool....then we'll continue to see you post "this is what happens when you settle for a hc". It makes absolutely zero sense to preach that then turn around and the hc fired after one year
