Russell and it’s not even close.
Smith is at least trying. He is more like Aaron Brooks or Culpepper.

No rational person would deny that Geno is struggling mightily at the same time he’s not in the same realm as Jamarcus.
It’s also telling just who is attempting to push the narrative.

Russell sat his first year because he held out and missed TC.......Imo he'd still be disliked but wouldn't catch so much flack if he didn't hold out for more guaranteed $$$ and then simply not put the work in.Had the look of he got his big payday and mailed it in.SuperRaider wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 11:38 pm My opinion is that maybe if Russell was drafted by another team and sat on the bench for a few years under a different team; maybe things would have been different for him……
Gotta admit….if the Raiders did not draft him at number 1….Russell would have still got drafted by another team; maybe in the first round or 2nd round

The guy was POS all the way around. By the time he got to the NFL he'd had more smoke blown up his ass than a California wildfire, which made him think he was above working to get better.SuperRaider wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 11:38 pm My opinion is that maybe if Russell was drafted by another team and sat on the bench for a few years under a different team; maybe things would have been different for him……

He wrote and article a couple years back and he's still the same asshole he always was. An angry, uncoordinated dork couldn't have written a more cartoonish spoiled athlete than Purple Drank.

I think so as well. I am not ready to condemn him just yet.

Maybe Chip Kelly needs to dumb down the playbook; possibly chance is that Kelly throwing to many plays in that Geno does not really know the play….ToastPatterson wrote: Thu Oct 09, 2025 11:05 pm I think so as well. I am not ready to condemn him just yet.

That alone should speak to the situation.
Also there is enough background to the story that the coaching staff sent Jamarcus Russell home with blank DVDs that he claims to have watched.
Add to this Russell was a #1 pick.
Geno might be ass but when your closest “competitor” is Ryan Leaf?
Yeah. Just imagine whet your employer thinks of you?
