NFL Still Screwing the Raiders

Someone find out how many teams in the history of the NFL have had to play back to back teams who have 10 days to prepare (20 total days) while giving the screwed team only 13 total days....

It could be argue that a quick turnaround is a good thing as you have to get focused quickly with no time to think meaning you have no time to rest on your laurels

Waiting around with lots of time on your hands can work the other way around where you are over prepared & need time to get back into the game

Down time for players can be a killer when it comes to momentum

I’ve been hearing the league is screwing the Raiders for 30 years. I think it’s time to put this to rest.

Okay Gents, Although the last several years have been favorable regarding our schedule before this year let's not start praising the NFL yet. Far freaking from it. Going off of memory alone they had a very long string of lousy schedules they handed us at the start of the year. The very long history with the refs and the schedule is nothing shy of awful. 2023 & 2024 we were in the bottom of the league in penalties (FINALLY!) but when you look back at the 15 years prior we where only out of the top 10 in penalties once, yes, you read that right, once in 15 years!!! 15 friggin years and we where only out of the top 10 in penalties 1 time.

Out of those 15 years...

3 of them we lead the league
3 times we came in 2nd
twice we were the 3rd most penalized team
and 1 time we ended up in 5th

So 9 times in those 15 years we were in the top 5 in penalties. Nobody even comes close to that.

Currently, if you don't count the teams that have played 2 games we are the 8th most penalized team in the NFL Hoping for better then that...

The league screwed us by promoting the arm of JaMarcus Russell and hiding his drug use.
The league screwed us by making up a rule called the tuck rule and only using it on us when it counted most
The league screwed us by us hiring Shell 2.0
The league screwed us by making our center vanish hours before the Super Bowl
The league screwed us by making us travel the most of any team every year since the beginning of time
The league screwed us by hiding Brady in the draft so the Patriots could draft him, and him winning it all repeatedly
The league screwed us by giving us high draft picks over and over

It's like these people don't watch the games. We don't need help at sucking. We are good at all by ourselves, We just don't want to admit that sucking as bad as we have sucked takes a concentrated effort of epic levels. And the nightlight inside just makes it look cheap.

But hey, Davis is printing money now, other than the 10M per year for a former head coach, and various other on the books head coaches salaries. So some of you can hang you hat on a rich guy getting richer off your asses while shoveling shit at you and telling you in a couple years that shit will grow out of it a beautiful rose. All the while conveniently avoiding the truth that shit never grows anything unless you sow the seed and he refuses to pony up the money to actually buy the right seed. Until now, perhaps.

One thing I really appreciated about Jon Gruden's first tenure is that he worked really hard to shit can the victim mentality that plagued the organization.
