2025 Fantasy Football League

It's that time again, fantasy football time. Entry fee is $40 and it's first come first serve. I'll set up 2 0.5 PPR leagues 12 players each league like every year and draft day will be August 24 at 5pm for one league and 6:30 PM. The second league.

The final draft rankings are usually too heavily based on the player rankings and when the player was picked. Teams picking at the turn hardly ever get a top ranking because the one pick is considered a reach. Having said this I haven't looked if that applies to the Crosby Show draft. I picked at 10 and got a "C-" with write-up stating taking players before they should've been.

Anyway, that's my excuse.

This is true. You have to reach when you have to wait 22 picks before your next 2 picks. I drafted 12th and got a D grade and plan on winning this league.

That’s really how it goes. One other league last year, I got second worst draft grade (D) &, a projected 1-13 record lol. I got 2nd place. Barely lost in the championship. My other leagues got bottom 4-5 draft & either won or top 3. I have always done best with horrible grades. & 50/50 with top grades.

It might be a blessing in disguise. Last year I had number 2 and the first pick didn’t take McCaffrey so I went with McCaffrey who was the consensus #1 player available. That didnt turn out well for me…

Welp I took McC. Thought about taking all old,risky players after that such as Stafford, DaVante, Mike Evans, whoever and naming my team Dusty Bones, but I wussed out when bowers was sitting there lol.

PS the two teams in our league with Bowers based names can suck it. no jinx

I got lost looking for a player at one point, ran out of time and it autodrafted Jordan Mason for me. I was just happy it was a RB and not another QB or some dumbness. I wouldn't have drafted him, but he has a chance and it could have be so much worse.

Yeah, the rankings that the bot comes up with can be downright bizarre sometimes and the overall grade given seems to have no correlation with how good a team was actually drafted.

You could have done a lot worse than Mason in that situation.

If he has it set to 12 teams it won't allow a draft until the commissioner finds 1 more player

Two seasons ago, I drafted Cooper Kupp and Jonathan Taylor even though they were injured to start the season. I also grabbed Alvin Kamara at a discount since he was suspended to start the season. My other early picks worked out well and I had a juggernaut by seasons end. I won the league. I don’t remember my team name but it had something to do with Infirmary.

Some people love Fields as a fantasy qb. His numbers are actually really good.

Ahh got ya. My bad. We usually do 2 leagues here every year but they were full about 2 weeks ago.
