I was listening to ESPN radio today and they were talking about Henry being a freak physical specimen. It got me thinking and I am curious how you guys think Bo would have stacked up against Henry if he was able to complete his football career?

In my opinion Bo would have become the standard that every running back would have been judged against.

I think Bo would have been an anomaly that every running back would hope to achieve, but would always fall short.

Henry is bigger, but Bo was faster, a far better blocker and while he was not asked to do so, could catch the ball in space very well. Bo had jets nobody his size had.

Agree with Attyla on this one. His speed at his size was unreal. One of the most gifted athletes ever in my opinion.

This gets to it. Henry is a fantastic running back. Bo was a phenomenal athlete. Just an incredible athletic specimen. If Bo’s career wasn’t cut short, the argument would be whether he or Jim Brown are the RB GOAT’s of the NFL, with people taking sides based on generation. Much like the people that argue MJ and LeBron’s GOAT-NBA bonafides.

We know that Bo didn't hold up. If he did it still would have been muted being cross sport and he most likely would have given up on football sooner than later, if I recall he was already thinking about ending football very soon. I like Bo better, but Henry's been pretty special and has a good speed/size measurable to.

Yeah he was a man amongst boys when he played but how long could he have kept it up even if he didn't have a career ending injury? Playing 2 sports wasn't going to be a long term thing. Like you said I think he goes to baseball full before long either way. But damn he was fun to watch

Bo...... greatest RB ever. His time was short, unfortunately. Bo/Sanders; take your pick. I'll take Bo if his time was longer. Right or wrong..... that's where I stand.

Athletically, Bo is up there with Thorpe and Jim Brown. I have yet to see another athlete as big as Bo with his insane speed. It was either a player was a Ferrari or a Truck. Bo was a Semi with a jet engine.

Earl Campbell was power, size and speed as well and super special, imo a bit forgotten and that's wrong.

I don't think Bo would have ever had durability concerns if it weren't for that freak accident.

His freakish strength, speed, and ability is actually what caused such a devastating injury. Any other RB gets tackled, goes down, gets up, and moves on. Bo was so strong that he was able to drag the tackler and pulled his own femur out of socket. That's completely insane lol
