No way in the world am I sending my girl to pick up a piece of trash and hand it to a total stranger like that. Especially someone who has little regard for human decency. Tactically, that was an extremely poor choice on his part.

Having said that, I have nothing but contempt for those that throw their trash out of car windows or just drop it on sidewalks.

I could right an essay on just this one video as this type of real world stuff we all run into and this is a big interest of mine. He sent a fawn into the lions den. His job as her best friend (husband?) is to watch over her and keep her out of danger not send her into the teeth of it. lol. NO hunny, we'll just pick it up when we pull up and throw it away. The moment they purposely chose to treat our world like a trash can told me all I needed to know what was in that truck. Just watching her and how she handled herself with phone in hand, her laissez-faire approach to the door, turning her back to the opponent to pick up the trash all screams to me zero tactical awareness and she couldn't fight her way out of a wet paper bag. And if you're going to do something like that isn't it his job!!?!

I'm going to guess by chance she was wearing sneakers instead of flip flops, if a push or a punch was forthcoming that could of aided her in keeping her balance instead of possibly fall over and end up possibly getting hurt. And if that had happened or even a shouting match the boyfriend(?) would have to get involved and now he not only set her up for trouble but he set himself up for it too. If he goes up to the window instead of her and things go sideways now he created a problem for her. And who's to say they aren't drunk or on drugs or pissed off at the world today, pull out a weapon and now... wow. I have watched thousands of fight videos and defensive handgun encounters of people doing the right thing and then stuff going sideways real fast.

I have basically adopted the position not on my watch. When my wife goes out for something as mundane as shopping I prefer to accompany her as much as possible, happily. Keeping an eye on her and the world as it passes us by and avoiding conflict like that not running into it. Just doing husband things. Anyway, in the end these two knuckleheads got there just do as no doubt whatsoever they were reported for littering and as a gross polluter many times over. Cracks me up, in this information age with there license plate for all the world to see thinking they are cool or tough guys. Pea for brains. All the more reason not insert yourself into a situation like that and choose option "B" instead.

I was fishing on this lake once and a boat a few hundred feet in front of us threw a large amount of trash into the water with no concerns at all. One of the guys with me was with the Park admin and had them detained for hours and apparently they whined and cried the whole time. None of us felt bad for them.

Visited Brazil a few years back, doing some medical work down there, and the place is stunningly beautiful. We went to the Pantanal as part of the trip. World's largest tropical wetlands and again, it was amazingly beautiful.

But the people down there are trashing their country. There are vast areas of the country that does not have trash services so instead of taking trash to a dump site, they just throw it alongside the road. It was really disgusting and sad. Maybe they have improved that since I was there, but I felt like the Indian in that old commercial.

Yeah, for sure everyone is different, that is a given. And of course women can be independent and brave I am more than aware of this as I have sparred and grappled with them many a time over. I would only add it's important to make the distinction between one being brave, one being able to handle themselves, and separately from those two, also having tactical understanding. These are 3 entirely separate things. I don't think the gal in the video had any of those.

She was coerced by her boyfriend to do it, she had zero tactical awareness and I'm sure she can't fight/defend herself. Is it worth it to pick up a piece of trash to make a point? Not in my book it isn't. And of course I left out the big one, does she have kids? Losing mommy who has none of the 3 things I mentioned over some trash a couple of crazies in a truck threw out the window is very poor decision making. The risk v. reward just wasn't there to say the least.

The recent viral video from Cincinnati where that coward punches that lady is a clear illustration of this. She was brave to step in there but she had zero tactical awareness and no self defense skills. She was a fawn in a lions den and the end result was not pretty. As I pointed out in my last response I have watched thousands of fight and defensive gun encounters of people being brave and attempting to do the right thing and then stuff going sideways real fast. Which is precisely what happened to her, hopefully she doesn't wind up with any neurological damage from it.

So here's a video of Geno before the game. The fan with the sign can clearly be seen in the background. This gets me thinking that Geno, Maxx and Pete may have planned some mischievous fun prior to the run out for the game to rev up the team and the crowd. If so, I'm sure the reaction has been far more than they imagined.
