I read this as a good sign that Cam Miller hasn't been a disappointment and has won the 3rd string QB role. Let's see if he can displace O'Connell as the backup.

Maybe they'll just go with Tommy Mellot as a 4th/emergency QB. He's listed as a WR now, but was the Montana State QB

Yeah, I think I brought this same thing up in his (or another) post draft thread now that you mention it. Huh. (Quitting drinking really didn't help I guess...) We'll see how much time he spends at each position in the coming days. Which brings up the question who is going to be #2? Mellot isn't even listed as a QB he's listed as a WR which might be more than an indication of how they viewed Bradley. Going by there actions they felt as if Miller has a better chance then Bradley did. I'm of the belief Aiden O' gets the nod. Only because of his previous experience unless Miller blows it outta the water. I don't think that will happen tho.

I thought I had read the offense was being split between Smith and O'Connell during OTAs

They drafted Melot as a WR, but he isnt a bad QB at all. The guy has instincts like a smaller Lamar Jackson. I would be ok with Melot coming off the 3rd string special teams bench to sling it, if our other 3 QBs suddenly went down.
