I'm old enough to remember being a Raider fan before the internet and there was VERY little news that would leak out. Then the preseason started and you saw players and things that you never knew before, it was all new!

I work along side doctors on a daily basis. I think today's medicine practices and the grind they have to go through makes a comparison to an auto worker an apt comparison. Both are far more technical than in the past and both are just grinding out one task after another.

However, I am fortunate. My personal doctor does not rush the process and is very engaging which is the exception and not the norm.

They were treated as mildly interesting practices on local news , if the news covered them at all.

Preseason games are still as bad of a predictor now as they were back then. I'm glad they're more available to watch now because it's interesting to see football after what seems like an eternity. OTOH, I find myself screaming at the TV to get X player off the f[raiders_icon]cking field so that he doesn't get injured before the real season starts.
