Raiders 2025 QB
Might as well start a thread looking at options for QB next year. Have that be the Draft or a vet signing.
I didn’t think getsy called a particularly bad game and Graham is awesome. APs game management left something to be desired but at least on offence… it feels like we’re fighting with one hand tied because we just don’t have a QB that can actually keep an offence moving.
It just felt like bears 2.0 to me, the same offense just without Fields. I did not see much other than some copycat type screen/sweep calls and some long setup dinks and dunks.
When we ran well I did not think it was more than the broken clock being right twice a day type of situation and they just stumbled into it.
I should definitely have watched closer so I am sure I missed a bit, but it felt like Gruden's unimaginative game plan to me. I would have loved to have seen some chips, slants, and some jumbo package power running to give them pause or wear them out.
He failed on some pivotal short yardage calls also, we can blame talent, but a coaches job is to scheme that talent into favorable matchups. Gruden could at least sneak out a TE in short yardage situations often enough.
I agree Mack/Bosa may have changed the game, but Adams could also have ate any of their guys 1:1 on a long moonshot fade a couple of times imo.
I think Bowers could have too. That contested catch he had looked special to me.
What so impressive about that? A completely clean pocket and a wide open WR. Those aren't the situation with which to judge a QB.
Read it all dude. I said going to the film room to look at more tape. Don't be dense.
30 second tape doesn't show much. That's why more film needs to be watched as I stated.
Your reading comprehension needs improvement.

What I don't understand is how Minshew was GIVEN the game 1 starting QB position. Unless it was a true #1 QB you acquire or a top 5 QB picked in the draft the AOC earned last year his right to start game one this year. Period. The win loss he put together turned the team around last year after mcd was fired. And minshew losing the football like that because he has small hands is the reason I hate small handed QB's. That was pathetic and completely changed the momentum of the game.

Pretty much making him the most accomplished QB on this roster.
Are you implying that qb wins is a stat again?!
If the QB goes 5 innings, he’s eligible.
Aidan pitched a complete game that day.
Saying he lost it would be stupid. But he certainly didn’t win it. All he had to do was not lose it.
4 A. O'Connell 9/21 62 Yds
Those numbers are your franchise savior?
Those numbers are :
- The appropriate starting QB for this franchise; and
- My dog, Bo Hardegree - the most experienced OC of all time.
Add the best stat from that day, please.
1 win.

Why on earth has this been moved?
Are we not allowed to talk about potential new raiders QBs on the main board?
In terms of Vets. Dak is now out of the mix but I can see us looking at Geno Smith

Also has Minishew ever scored 0 points in a game whilst the defence only gave up 3
Neither Minishew or O’Connell are our QB of the future, this was always gonna be a down year if we didn’t draft our guy this year
Pierce more than likely gets the season & at least 6 games next year with his QB of choice if we are able to get one that is

I know he isn’t going to be in the 2025 class, Arch Manning, 5 TD’s including this: https://youtube.com/shorts/bShYH_PYfkg? ... DAQKKb69br
I can see him staying till 2027 class. Family knows he needs experience in college. Get two full years starting along with some this year.
Trade for Hendon Hooker
Did someone mention hookers?
I personally wanted AOC over Minshew prior to the season beginning but, AOC isn't the reason we won that Christmas day game against the Chiefs. No way. It was definitely the defense. He did just enough to not lose the game.
And the chargers blow out was because the team quit on their coach, to the point they didn't bother to cover our receivers. So that was 2 of his "wins".
