Franchise QB alert: Houston's Donovan Smith

I want you all to look at this young man's traits. 6'5", rocket arm, can make a variety of throws, very nice mobility. This was two years ago, when he was at Texas Tech. He played at Bishop Gorman in Nevada. He is the guy no one is talking about, but will be talking about. The next step for this franchise is for the HC to marry up with a franchise QB. My list in no order is Beck, Sanders, Smith and Ward. But I love Smith's skill set the best.

Not a pretty 1st game for Smith. 15/31 135 yards, 0 TDs, 2 int.
Didn't see him play, but that stinks, and it was vs UNLV.

Ewers looked pretty good again.
