The NFL Conference Champs Game Day Thread (AKA The Raiders Coach Game)

Here it is fellas, the final game before the big game. Who you got, what is ideal for the Raiders and are there free agents playing that you like for us next year. Popcorn at the ready, beer in your hand. I have some Blue Moon on hand. What are you making to enjoy the game? I am making a simple chicken and rice. Weather here is horrible so I Amazon Fresh'd my menu for the week so that I did not have to rush to the store. Ah the joy of winter.

I guess I will go with:
Pats vs Rams for the final game. But anyone other than the Broncos is absolutely fine. I like Stafford, I don't mind Maye. Vrabel getting a crack at another ring after TN dumped him would be justice in my mind for that bitch Amy Adams. And yea, everyone I know around here hates that....female body part....lol

I'm rooting against the Broncos and rooting for the Rams. With prospective coaches on the sideline coaching for the Seahawks, Rams, and Broncos, the Pats are the only team without one of our candidates. Regardless, we can still have a second interview with the candidates for the teams that do move on and I believe that those can be in person interviews. Teams often will have a handshake agreement with a Super Bowl coach prior to the big game, even though it can't officially binding until after the game. There might be leaks of such an agreement, but it's not announced.

But that was as of last night, I have not tuned into the news yet this morning. But here, it is about to get bitter cold, so any road with water on it is about to become a sheet of ice. They say starting at around 9 AM. They are about to switch from salt to calcium on the roads from what I hear. Near record cold is on tap starting tomorrow into Tuesday but it will not get above freezing until next weekend. We will get some melt off due to sunny conditions but it will be slow going. And that is pretty universal from Texas to the east coast. My wife's family in Kansas are hunkered down so at least everyone is safe.

Yep, not as cold right now down there so more rain but the cold blast hits overnight so that stuff will freeze as well. All flights out of Nashville cancelled, but I think their airport is still rolling currently

I’d like Denver to lose, for obvious reasons, but the ‘Hawks to win because I’m in the area. I know we have a candidate we’re looking at in Kubiak but like was already stated, I believe it’s possible they could already have an offer out, as in saying you’re our first choice. Personally hoping we are his, also. He would be good for Mendoza and our putrid offensive scheme.

I doubt there is an offer out there already - they haven't had an in person interview with Kubiak yet. I wouldn't be surprised if Spytek was in Seattle today so they can interview Kubiak in person tomorrow - since Brady is already there.

Would like to see Pats and Rams come away victorious today. Snow and sleet predicted for my part of Jersey. Just retired Jan. 1 from 38 years plowing snow for the town I live in. Gonna sit back and enjoy a fire in the wood burning stove, a few (many) cocktails and a Cottage ham with cabbage and potatoes done corned beef style. Enjoy the games and be safe.

Assuming the Raiders want Webb or Kubiak, what you're saying is it benefits the Raiders if the Broncos and Seattle win today, because the Bills wont be able to interview the coaches of the winning teams until after the superbowl, while the Raiders can do their 2nd interviews with both Webb and Kubiak during the 2weeks leading upto the superbowl.
