Joe Burrow Unhappy in Cincinnati- teams reaching out

Unread post by RaiderFan1 »

Adam Schefter: " the most intriguing comments I've heard from anybody was from Joe Burrow on Wednesday, saying in Cincinati its no longer fun and his future there is questionable. I can tell you this, the other teams in the league took notice of this, and I know this because I was texting with those teams. Andrew luck when he retired played 86 games and had been sacked 174 times, Burrow 73 games and sacked 203 times, and Burrow sounds like a guy that is deeply reflective, contemplative and thoughtful about how he wants his future to proceed.. those were alarming words. that got the attention of a lot of people"

Some speculation but definitely unhappy. I Doubt Cinci would make it easy to leave but QB's have forced trades

The video is on Sanjits youtube channel if you want to here Schefters comments.

Burrow has a no trade clause so would be able to pick his team. That means not us. Our line is maybe worse than the Bengals

Burrow is a ridiculously good QB. I think it's likely that he's using his platform to send a message to the Bengals to make the situation around him better, as opposed to trying to get a trade out of town. He created some of his own situation though by pressuring the team to retain Higgins, at the expense of bolstering multiple other areas.

If we had a ready-made team then offering the farm to get Burrow might be a great play. If we have the first overall pick then we should be drafting a QB and building around him. We'll need a rookie level deal and future draft picks to give us time and capital to build the team.

I am sure we all agree here. Why go from a decent team that struggles to one of the worst teams over the last 20 years and one that is going to have to "rebuild" yet another time. Our only hope is to lose out, draft a QB who works out and simultaneously build an O-line that can protect him, give him time to throw, and have a good run game. We don't want to have happen what happened to Jim Plunkett in New England. For you newer fans, he was a great QB coming out of Stanford and got the crap beat out of him for a few years on a bad team. By the time he made it to the 49ers, his body was a wreck. He rehabilitated himself and bided his time until he got his chance with the Raiders.

Burrow has a bit of “flash” in his persona. IF he moved, makes too much sense it would be to L.A. to take over for a retiring Stafford. The Rams have never been shy about givin’ away draft picks, great Coach, and Chase/Higgins to Puka is the slimmest downgrade(?) outside of miserably cold Minnesota.

Raiders don’t get to play in these seismic NFL thunderings. We have Doofus. We are shit. Naturally.

Also, :middlefinger: Doofus. Useless f[raiders_icon]cking turdblossom.

Joe Burrow would be my second pick if I could take any QB in the league. It will never happen though. Unfortunately with our Oline and Captain Dipshit having no clue how to build a Front office I see no way in hell a stud like Joe would come here.

It won't happen, but if we were to sign him we could attract the best FA O-linemen in the league. We'd suddenly become a viable option.

That's enough fantasy to engage in for the day.

Rams have the receivers, the coach, and an extra FRP this season. It makes all the sense in the world. Joe would be down for that.

If Arch comes I could see them making a move for him.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you're not a fan of Mark Davis.

Our roster is so void of talent trading for Burrow and his massive contract makes no sense imo...I'd love to have a QB like Burrow but not with the current status of the team....Gonna take years even if the head office gets their heads outta their asses.

Hoping we can land a stud QB in the draft on a rookie contract and use the extra cap space to build the lines so he has half a chance to succeed.

Obviously need a new staff as well,no amount of talent at qb will mask the current staffs incompetence :paperbag:

Moot point as I don't see Burrow going from a shitshow to the biggest shitshow in sports at the moment. :paperbag:

To be fair to the team, they just paid a ransom to his receivers to make him happy.

As stated Rams would be perfect fit.
