Game Day Thread, Raiders Host the Bears

Raiders are -1.5 today which actually means on a neutral field they would be the dogs. Over under at 47.5 says a decent scoring game so let's hope the offense rebounds and the D shows up. After all there are only so many Mariota's out there thank god.

Making smothered pork chops today topped with onions and mushrooms. Serving that with rice and Italian green beans.

Prediction: Of course this is based on absolutely nothing but a wild guess, but I will give us the nod 24-21 so we will cover and it will be the under for me.

Betting thread is up if you want to play and I will bump it up.

For the life of me, I don’t see how the Raiders are favored. If I had a betting account, I’d dump it all on da Bears. But now that I said that, I probably jinxed the Bears. So Raiders win, I guess.

As always with this team? No idea if we win, no idea if we lose. Won’t be surprised or upset either way. These days it’s “meh” even at touchdowns. No getting to worked up over things other teams doing regularly.

The last time the Bears came to town we were favored to win and we all thought it was a game we should win. instead, in what is now classic Raider fashion, Carr couldn't get us into the end zone and we lost 24-9.

That game stands out because I was a click or two away from buying tickets to take two of my daughters to that game. Maybe the voice of some old Raider ghost spoke to me telling me not to, but whatever happened, I decided against it. Thankfully.

It would've been my first at Allegiant, and I still haven't been. It was the game that 100% convinced me that spending good money on this team isn't worth it.

Prediction:

The Raiders will have four 11 minute drives and kick field goals on each of them. The Bears will possess the ball for all of 16 minutes and score 24 points.

They are favored because they are home. I am predicting a win because it is the Bears and I think they are quietly one of the worst run teams in the league....and yes, I know we are loudly one of the worst run teams in the league
