Game Thread: Raiders v. Chargers Mon. night home opener
We are the last game of the weekend and it’s a big one against the League’s vagabonds.
Since KC and Den lost. The winner of this one gets to get a very early lead in the division.

Hoping Brock is healthy and we get dome geno numbers. I think scoring will be paramount in this one. Would be nice to get the running game going.

...us eastern us time zone too....
....and its 70's and some 80's and dry all week, and i'm going to use the hell out of the day, with a work out, wash my truck, seal my driveway, and pedal the back roads, so hopefully I don't rip van winkle it later with the 10:00 start.....

Life long CA resident until a Southwest OH move in 2022. No Sunday morning football is a huge drag! And a 10:00 start for MNF? Too late for a weeknight. I'll record it and watch tomorrow if a good game.

Biggest concern right now is The Raiders offense and their lack of scoring. Going back to Preseason The Raiders have scored 23,19,10 and then 20 in Week 1. The Raiders defense isn't good enough (right now) to win a lot of games with the offense not putting up bigger numbers.

Smith has literally quarterbacked one actual game for us and already we don’t score enough points, blah blah blah blah. Is this what they call a “small sample size”?RickRyb wrote: Mon Sep 15, 2025 7:41 am Biggest concern right now is The Raiders offense and their lack of scoring. Beating a dead horse here, but hopefully the run game gets going. At the very least if you can't come away with points, hopefully you can go on drives that eat up some clock and limit Herbert and Co. possessions.
As menioned perviously I'm not quite sold on the defense yet. We'll see what they got tonight.

If you never hear from me again after tonights game... it's because I fell over dead seeing the Raiders alone atop the AFC West.

considering I just capped off a trip to Europe and am doing all the stuff I need to do to get ready to return to work tomorrow, and doing it on short sleep and a long ass day yesterday, I will begin watching but also have it on record because I am not going to make midnight no matter how good the game is.WNYRAIDER wrote: Mon Sep 15, 2025 4:49 am ...us eastern us time zone too....

So, again, I will stand on the shoulders of giants and regurge all your brilliant comments as my own until I can review the tape tomorrow.

I just want to see a continuation of what we saw last week.
1. Not falling to pieces under adversity
2. Effective in-game adjustments.
3. Effective play calling at crucial times.
4. Effective game management from the coaching staff and players.
As others have said, get the run game on track. If we can do that, we suddenly become extremely difficult to defend against.
Oh, and win. That'd be pretty damn okay too.
