NFL players at 14 years old were all killing it. That's par for the course at this talent level.

We're just a month away from seeing with our own two.

Methodology

As is our standard, we have created these rankings based on a combination of factors:

Number of starts made by players under 25 years old

Number of snaps played by players under 25 years old

Quality of play by players under 25 years old, age-adjusted to capture the fact that a 21-year-old player of X ability will likely improve more than a 23-year-old player of X ability -- and with extra consideration given to Pro Bowl and All-Pro selections

Value and length of player contracts

Relative importance of positions, with quarterbacks being more important and running backs, off-ball linebackers and specialists being less important than other positions

Draft value added in the 2025 draft, particularly in the first three rounds

Expected key starters and reserves under 25 years old for teams in 2025

Significant injuries or suspensions that will affect the 2025 availability of players under 25 years old

11. Las Vegas Raiders

2024 ranking: 31

Blue-chip players: TE Brock Bowers, RB Ashton Jeanty
Notable graduated players: Edge Tyree Wilson

Most of the young talent in Las Vegas is on the offensive side of the ball. The biggest name is 22-year-old Bowers, of course, who set the NFL record for most receptions (112) by a rookie tight end in 2024. His running mate, tight end Michael Mayer, just turned 24 in early July.

Rookie star back Jeanty is 21 years old and comes in with high expectations after being a 2024 Heisman Trophy finalist. The Raiders will also start two young wide receivers this season. Third-year receiver Tre Tucker is 24 years old, and the Raiders will also start either second-round pick Jack Bech or fourth-round pick Dont'e Thornton Jr., who are both 22 years old.

The Raiders also have youth on the offensive line with starting center Jackson Powers-Johnson (22) and starting right tackle DJ Glaze (23), plus two third-round rookies in tackle Charles Grant (23) and guard Caleb Rogers (23).

There is less young talent on the defense, as cornerback Darien Porter might start as a third-round rookie but he's already 24.

For all of Telesco's warts, he drafted some nice young pieces. It feels like we're in the midst of a legitimate rebuild, kick started by Telesco's draft. If Spytek can hit on a few guys this year, we might be ahead of schedule.

It really does feel that way. Looking forward to see the Offense work under CK..He has a lot of nice pieces to move around and keep Defenses on their heels. Hopefully the O can keep us in games when the D falters.

Ashton is built like a bowling ball. I was thinking yesterday after seeing a video of him, he is going to be hard to see and to bring down when many backs are taller and more of a target. Not to mention his ability to change direction. Seems like a smaller version of Marchawn. Maybe Marshawn crossed with somone like Napolean Kaufman?

Then I listened to Hondo's podcast and he was saying exactly how Ashton uses that smaller size behind the big lineman to his advantage. Have seen others mention thing like this. Also, great hearing his pass catching ability is shining.

I'm drinking the Kool-aid now. I think he's going to be a huge weapon.

Really, the offense is starting to look stacked. Meyers, Mayer, Bowers, Tre sounds like he's getting it, Thorton(everyone praising, but also camp), Bech and even word is Mostart is looking great! With Chip scheming to these guys strengths.......Can't say I've been this excited about the offense in a long time, and ALL of this is going to help Ashton shine, and vice versa! I'm pumped for this season!

Small squaty RB's have been a thing now for quite some time for the reasons mentioned. Hard to see, usually quick and with good agility. We'll see how he's see's and reacts to the NFL and the same in reverse. He's promising, there's been so many promising players.

Sounds like from reports, it appears his vision is top notch. Totally hear you on the shift to the smaller backs...this one, with all the hype from so many corners, just feels like another leap. Though it would be interesting to hear from scouts from teams that passed on him or had him lower graded.

Of course, as the old saying goes..."time will tell"(who's quote was that on "the old board", I can't remember)!

On top of all that Jeanty's is suppose to have incredible balance. When hit, he doesn't go to the ground, he goes sideways.

Yup, see Marshawn Lynch ffor NFL example of that. Another human bowling ball with defenders as pins!

I need to go back and watch Ashton's videos from college. I think we will likely see even more dramatic plays from him because of the skill and ability of NFL defenders. I think his plays, when he makes them will be all that more dramatic because of that.

His plays will look a whole lot better because they won't be on that stupid blue field.
