He's probably washed and past his prime anyways at this point. The raiders need to stop signing or trading for big named players until they are ready to acquire big named players

More outlets are reporting this now. Most seem to be referring to Renz's report, but apparently someone name Tony Pauline reported that this might be the case back in May.

they can cut him next before the 2026 season and it will be 60 ish Mill for 5 games
or
if he is on the roster and plays for 2026 they can cut him after the 2026 season
and have paid him 86 Mil for 21 games (assuming he plays 16 games for the 2026 season)
