Raiders/Adams divorce - Deep Dive

Pretty much paints Adams as a selfish and double-minded individual.

Also shows that the FO willingly put up with a lot of his bullshit.

Some takeaways:

Talking shit about Carr behind his back:
Adams had five receptions for 36 yards and one touchdown. He felt that his friend Derek Carr was not doing a good enough job getting him the ball, according to a team source, who told us that day, “Not a good look to be complaining about the guy you wanted to play with. Wish he would keep that between the two of them.”

The same source reiterated concerns after a Thursday night loss on Dec. 8, 2022. Yet, again, Adams questioned his quarterback after a performance in which he had only three receptions.

One team source told us, “Derek isn’t perfect, but that is your guy. Don’t talk about him behind his back; be his friend when he is around. People see that s--t.”

Hating on jakobi meyers:

It happened last season when he complained to the media about not getting enough targets. Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers got off to a hot start and threatened Adams’s place as the team’s No. 1 receiver. Adams’s frustration was not directly aimed at Meyers, but his frustrations were due to Meyers’s growing success. Adams commanded double teams, leaving Meyers in favorable situations. Either way, his public comments became a distraction, and the Raiders began force-feeding Adams with mixed results.

Playing the political game to try to get more influence in FO decision making:

A team source said of Adams, “I think he thought because of who he was, and maybe felt some type of way about speaking up for AP that he would have a bigger voice in adding players. Maybe like Aaron Rodgers’s role in New York, but that wasn’t happening.”

The article also states that he pounded the table for Luke getsy, I can only assume bc he thought he could get force fed the ball in that offense also

I don’t say this often about players, but this guy is a dirtbag. In my opinion of course.

I stated it when it happened.

I never looked at him the same way once he displayed his jealously towards Meyers. IMO, he's one of the reasons we lost to the Bears and started our downtrend.

Sounds about right. He and Rodgers seem to be twin sisters with the same douchey attitudes. They were obviously working behind the scenes to get back together when Rodgers said that he couldn't wait to play together again. Probably a collusion case there if the Raiders wanted to pursue it.

Some girls practice their duck lip Instagram pose in the mirror. I think the Rodgers/Adams sisters practice their "It was his fault, not mine" face so they can sell it whenever a play goes bad. Problem they've got now is that they have to do it to each other.

Maybe Adams can bring Getsy to team up with Hackett in what will be the most putrid offence known to man.

Typical diva WR. This reality show bullshit more or less started with Terrell Owens.

Adams forced his way out of GB, leaving a future HOF QB who was still playing like a HOF QB. Then forced his way out of his dream destination of Vegas. He'll never be happy. I respect him for turning himself into a great WR, despite early struggles, but it seems that he read too many rave reviews and his head outgrew his helmet. Hopefully he and the Jets continue to suck so the third rounder is a pretty good one - no chance we'll get the 2nd rounder.

Good riddance.

All of the Diva WR's started with him and then escalated each season. Yes it goes back that far.

Rodgers and Adams as shipmates on the sinking NY Jets ship is some perfect Karma.

Let them be sliced up by the NY media on a weekly basis.
