Raiders vs Washington,Who was surprised? Postgame thread
I don’t think anyone who has watched this team the past 20 plus years is shocked by the outcome.
Backup qb against the Raiders means an instant loss.

Gotta give him credit for one thing, though - dude definitely has a face for the radio.DSOTM wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 4:58 pm JT is such a bitch. He constantly sends private messages calling people douche bags and other names if you disagree with him. He nothing but a man child and he wonders why it’s the same 6 callers that call into his show.

Look at it this way, folks. We usually have to wait until they’re 2-7 before you start using your Sunday’s productively. By game three, we now see:
- offensive line is horrific
- Jeanty was a wasted pick behind this line
- Geno is a bum
- the defense is atrocious
- Chip’s return to the NFL is a failure
- Pete’s son shouldn’t be allowed in the facility tomorrow
- Maxx is utterly wasted
- Wilson is a non-entity and never will be
- White is somehow still on an NFL roster
- the clowns that will still flood into Allegiant Stadium are making this possible, year after year
- we’re in a division with teams that are a force to be reckoned with (no, I don’t believe the fool’s gold of the Chiefs getting bad)
Go enjoy your Sundays.

I don't think we should give up on Jeantry just yet. The line needs help, but the play calling by Chip Kelley does not fit a player like Jeantry. Chip needs to adjust his play calling to the strengths and weaknesses of the team. His play calling today made no sense at all today coming out of the gate.RenoRaider wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 5:33 pm Look at it this way, folks. We gonna talk about how Mayer is playing f[raiders_icon]cking special teams? When your superstar TE1 is clearly not 100%? Wtf was that shit.

It’s funny……it’s almost as if some have forgotten this brand new staff didn’t inherit a 4 win team from last year. I’m not saying this staff will be good or not but I’ll see what happens over the course of the season. Again, 4 wins last year…..what did you expect?
Oh well, onto next week

Frustrating, sad, gut-punch, depressing, etc. But, I'll watch next week too, however, I fast-forwarded through a lot of the second half.
I wrote last week that the Chargers were better offensively, defensively, and on special teams. Same thing this week. Next we face the Bears, a bad team, but wait, they got it together today. Uh oh.

I just watched Jeanty’s run where he ran over the DB. Parham blocked nobody and the LB he should have blocked made the tackle while Parham trotted around lost. Even the good plays are painful.

Raiders looked decent the first game against a much improved Patriot team. The last two games they seem to be getting worse instead of better. Maybe I set my expectations too high.

I was considering actually forking up the cash to go watch a game this year but glad I snapped out of it. I’ll invest at the craps tables instead.

Any chance this is a byproduct of traveling to the eastern time zone?
Or nah?

I took the money I was going to spend to go to a game or two and put it on Raiders to win their division before the season started at 20-1. I knew the odds were against me but I liked the 20-1 knowing the Chiefs seem to be fading. The Chargers looked like the best team to me but the odds were more like 2-1 for them to win.EaglevShark wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 6:43 pm I was considering actually forking up the cash to go watch a game this year but glad I snapped out of it. We still have 14 games to go. Hopefully things get better for the Raiders.

Our 2nd round pick has 1 target in 3 games.
