If Wilkins is healthy he is top tier if not no free agent is coming in to do anything special so might aswell develop the young guys

This is about availability, not ability. We can't "replace" something that never was. For all we know, he could of been one of those infamous free agents that signs with a new team and shits the bed.

Let’s hope he is back & healthy[/quote]yea, it is not like the guy is injury prone. We just got unlucky with this one. And the talent is there as well, so we just hope the boot was precautionary and the rehab from the surgery goes well. Even if he misses camp there is a decent chance he can play at some point next year. If not, the contract does let us out of it in 2016.

Seems like a lot of smoke concerning Wilkins needing another surgery and missing the whole season. I’m not blaming TT for this, as he had not been missing many games prior to 2024. Just Raiders fortunes these days it seems.

Carroll let the cat out of the bag a while ago that the outlook for Wilkins was bleak with his “difficult recovery “ and “challenging” comments so this isn’t really surprising. Hopefully there’s a breakthrough over the next few months and he can get on the field but it’s not looking promising.

Confirmed today he's back in a boot.
