It be great if drafted a first rounder to replace
Wilkins….but this really is bad news for the raiders as
we really don’t have a very good replacement in the
DT department….

Wilson a tall guy at 270lbs; he could easily gain another 20 lbs and be moved to DT position .

Adam Butler probably will replace him, the roster list shows we also have 4 rookie DT's. Maybe some of them will pan out.

This ain't the usual drama at all. Sounds like Raiders gave this guy every opportunity to show a commitment to rehabilitation. This was not this regimes acquisition, no reason to let the decision linger.

...what gave me recent hope were whispers of a possible recent surgery, Carroll comments suggesting he was doing everything asked of him, (which hopefully don't come back to bite us in the ass) and the recent media dude suggestion that he was making good progress recently, thinking, after that alleged follow up surgery. ...apparently, a lot of it was bad information....

You can't really blame the Raiders for this but man it just seems so Raiders as going back to Gruden this team has paid well over $100 million to free agents and traded players that barely played for the team and the circumstances always are so bizarre whether it's AB, Chandler Jones, Walker, etc.
