no, that is some bullshit. He complained that with his knee hurting he could not play up to his expectations. Jesus, at least lie in a way that you cannot get caught. He never said he was frustrated because he was "forced to play"mranquales wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 1:22 pmIt's the opposite. He expressed in the media his frustration that he was forced to play.

For tanking, people post pictures of tanks, as in the military vehicle. Doesn’t tanking come from “in the tank” as the toilet tank?

You have to tip toe though. Im not sure Jeanty has been on an injury report all year so sitting him would draw investigation. Bowers was an easy IR with his knee issue this year.

I guess I don't get the whole "drawing the NFL's ire" thing if you sit players.... especially when it is meaningless to play them. Why risk injury of a multi million $$$ player for nothing when you need him for the next season? To me, this is just strategic moves to insure the health of your players. I'm not sure how the NFL can justify penalties on a team for protecting it's valued player/s from unnecessary injury in a useless game. Like was stated elsewhere.... isn't this what playoff teams do when the game means nothing to them?DanKD wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 4:30 pm You have to tip toe though. they can certainly play jeanty a few series, then sit him down, like preseason

We have to tank without looking like we're tanking. In other words, basically play the way we've been playing all year.

I dont know why they dont play the starters sometimes at the end and rest them at the beginning. It seems like a fresh set of legs against a tired defense would be great.BlackShield wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 5:20 pm they can certainly play jeanty a few series, then sit him down, like preseason
